Ⓜ️ A sequel to "Interstellar"? — No, this is the Pykhtino metro station in Moscow.

Located in the southwest of the capital, this station celebrates the achievements of Russian aircraft manufacturing.

✈️ Above the escalators lies its main gem: a scaled-down model of the Soviet supersonic Tu-144 aircraft.

🔥 Forest fires beyond the Urals have reached close to populated areas and the Vostochny Cosmodrome.

According to the Russian Emergency Ministry, the current area of fires in the Amur Oblast spans 3,000 hectares. In the Zabaikalsky Krai, there are 45 active forest fire hotspots covering a total of 576,000 hectares.

IL-76 aircraft from the Russian Emergency Ministry were deployed to combat the fires in Zabaikalsky, but dense smoke limited crews to just three water drops, releasing 126 tons of water.

Media reports indicate thick smoke from the fires has enveloped the Vostochny Cosmodrome and the Tsiolkovsky Science City in the Amur Oblast. Firefighters are working in the Zvezdny microdistrict, where the burning forest is now clearly visible from high-rise apartment windows.

The fires have also approached the highway connecting Blagoveshchensk and Svobodny.

🇷🇺 Putin, during a meeting with members of the "Business Russia" organization, gave his most candid assessment of the authors of sanctions against Russia. They’re "idiots":

“We cannot be intimidated by new potential sanctions… You must not fear! Those who start fearing will lose everything immediately. But it’s essential to understand what might happen. We must be prepared for any actions by our adversaries. They’re harming themselves. You might think they won’t do certain things because it’s against their own interests. But they still do it, the idiots. Oh, excuse me.”

What else Putin stated:

— Russian entrepreneurs have achieved significant success, producing goods of higher quality than those of foreign manufacturers that left;

— Some foreign companies left Russia “with tears.” Now, major foreign businesses are approaching the Russian President with requests to return;

— If the return of a Western company to Russia is unprofitable, find a thousand reasons why it shouldn’t operate here. 999 of these will fully comply with WTO requirements;

— The West is cheating by creating preferential conditions for its companies through hidden subsidies. The President noted that Russian agricultural producers are urging him to block Western firms from re-entering the Russian market.

🌲 The ancient road to Zvenigorod wound through a pine forest where unusual trees had grown for centuries. In the mornings, their needles sparkled as if coated in silver. According to legend, this is how the area gained its poetic name. Another version links the name to deposits of precious metal allegedly mined near present-day Bezdonny Pond.

🌿 Today, this territory is known as Khoroshovsky Forest Park. Though the silvery shimmer of the pines is barely visible due to the metropolis, Muscovites still flock here for a breath of nature without leaving the city limits.

🦅 A natural complex with marshlands has formed here—visitors can observe them from an ornithological tower. An eco-trail features enclosures for waterfowl and birds of prey, informational boards, rest areas, and observation decks.

🏖 Surprisingly, the local beaches receive annual approval from the sanitary-epidemiological station for swimming. Developed recreation zones with free entry are open daily from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. Guests sunbathe, swim, ride motorboats, and even sightseeing ships.

🇷🇺 Work is work, but there’s always time for a rescue: Crew members of the nuclear icebreaker Yakutia saved a moose cow trapped in the ice on the Yenisei River.

“The animal couldn’t escape the ice trap on its own. We decided to help. We stopped to avoid injuring the poor creature and began the rescue operation,” said the icebreaker’s captain, Dmitry Nikitin.

The sailors ventured onto the ice, dug out the moose, but she was too weak to free herself. The crew then used a crane.

The rescue took just over thirty minutes. The animal headed toward the shore, and the crew resumed their scheduled voyage.
