More than 500,000 saiga antelope from Kazakhstan decided the grass is greener in Russia and stampeded across the border into the Saratov region. The figures were provided by Denis Gorbunov, head of state monitoring for hunting and fisheries.
As is usually the case with illegal migrants, during their week-long invasion they have thoroughly disrupted the lives of locals – trampling fields and winter crops, stripping pastures bare, and monopolizing watering holes from Russian livestock, according to local channels. The saigas aren't just taking food for no reason either; they've already eaten everything back home.
But there's nothing to be done about these newcomers – they have immunity from deportation thanks to the International Red Book (IUCN Red List). They can only be found in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Kalmykia, and now – the Saratov region.

A high-ranking Ukrainian official informed media that the Kyiv authorities have sent Moscow a draft memorandum on a peaceful settlement, which stipulates a ceasefire "on land, sea, and in the air," along with international monitoring of the truce.
The document was transmitted to Moscow on May 28th, and to Washington the day prior. Andriy Yermak, Head of the Ukrainian Presidential Office, confirmed that Kyiv awaits Russia’s version of the document to ensure the next Istanbul meeting "proceeds constructively." Russia, meanwhile, proposed holding a negotiation round in Istanbul on June 2nd and presenting its own version of the memorandum.
Dmitry Peskov, Spokesperson for the Russian President, declined to disclose details but noted that the parties are indeed discussing a temporary ceasefire. The Russian Foreign Ministry added that Russia’s draft will reflect core settlement principles, agreement timelines, and a potential ceasefire upon reaching consensus.

An amazing site in the Khasansky District of Primorsky Krai — Cape Sosnovy (Pine Cape) and the Ark sea stack, also known as "The Pants" (Shtany). This natural masterpiece is located on the border of the Eastern District of the Far Eastern Marine Reserve.
Getting there isn't easy: it requires a three-hour hike along the coast and through the forest.

The ceasefire must involve a halt to weapons supplies to Kyiv and mobilization in Ukraine, added Russia's UN Ambassador.
— It is necessary to first work out the terms of a peace agreement, and only then discuss a ceasefire;
— Europe does not miss an opportunity to win back the Americans to its side and, therefore, does not shy away from resorting to any lies against Russia;
— Russia is ready to continue and intensify hostilities in Ukraine "for as long as necessary";
— "Expired" Zelensky does not want a cessation of hostilities because he is afraid of losing power. After all, he would have to hold elections and answer for the embezzled funds.
Nebenzia also commented on the participation of Western countries in missile attacks on Russian territory:
"Colleagues, do you really think that we don't notice all this and don't have detailed information about the involvement of each of your states in military actions against Russia? And that this will have no consequences for you?"

On the first night of summer, a tragedy occurred in the Bryansk region. In the Vygonichsky district, a road bridge collapsed. At that moment, a passenger train was passing underneath it. However, this incident did not happen due to design flaws or chance. As the regional governor, Alexander Bogomaz, reported, it was a terrorist act, meaning the bridge was blown up.
388 passengers traveling on the Moscow-Klimovo route were endangered. According to information, 7 people were killed and another 71 were injured. Currently, 39 victims are in hospitals, including four children. Three of the injured, including an infant, are in critical condition.
Russian Railways (RZD) reported that the victims were placed in a temporary shelter and then transported to Moscow on a backup train. Medical service personnel monitored their condition throughout the journey.
"Part of the train fell down onto the road beneath the bridge. The diesel locomotive caught fire. The remaining cars are on the railway track," acting governor of Kursk region Alexander Khinshtein reported.
Unlike the situation in the Bryansk region, there were fewer casualties here. Only the train driver was injured. He received medical assistance.
The Moscow Interregional Transport Prosecutor's Office is overseeing the recovery process. Traffic restrictions have been imposed.
