Russia Tests Advanced Counter-Drone Laser Systems

⚡️ First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov participated in large-scale tests of advanced counter-unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) laser systems at a specialized testing ground.

These technological solutions will become part of a universal air defense (PVO) system, the creation of which was emphasized as necessary by the President of Russia the day before.

The main goal of the tests was a comprehensive assessment of the effectiveness of the latest laser systems under conditions maximally close to real combat. Testing included evaluation of targeting accuracy, effective range, system response time against moving aerial targets, and their resilience to various weather conditions.

🎯 Eight counter-drone systems of varying power took part in the trials – ranging from compact mobile units to high-power stationary systems. This allowed for the collection of the most comprehensive data on the capabilities of modern laser technologies in countering unmanned threats. Scenarios for countering different types of UAVs were executed at the specialized testing ground, equipped with modern measuring instruments.

The test results will be used to refine existing prototypes and develop systems capable of providing robust protection against modern aerial threats. Conducting these tests paves the way for the start of serial production and scaling.
