“The heat is so extreme that you can literally fry eggs in the fields. Today, while working, a friend said, ‘It’s scorching! The ground is hot enough to fry eggs!’ So we tried it. We took a pan from the station, placed it on the soil, added eggs and oil, and started frying,” Mardvaev recounted.

He noted that while the eggs "didn’t sizzle," they were nearly cooked after 50 minutes—the whites had set and browned.
Mardvaev concluded that "this abnormal heat urgently needs rain," or crops will begin to wither.

🔥 Per the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), a special fire-control regime is in effect across Zabaykalsky Krai, alongside a federal state of emergency in forested areas. As of June 25, 20 wildfires are burning over 228,800 hectares in Zabaykalsky, and 30 fires cover 45,000 hectares in Buryatia.
