President Vladimir Putin held a press conference with media representatives following the EAEU summit. He stated that military spending amounts to ₽13.5 trillion out of ₽223 trillion GDP — 6.3% of GDP. Putin noted that this is a lot and called it one of the budget problems that "we are solving successfully."

The President's key statements:

— Russia is ready for a third round of negotiations with Ukraine; the time and place need to be determined. Contacts will continue after the exchanges are completed.

— Russia is ready to transfer another 3,000 bodies of deceased military personnel to Ukraine, in addition to the 6,000 already transferred.

— The Russian and Ukrainian draft memoranda on settlement are directly opposite to each other. They should be the subject of discussion during the third round of negotiations.

— Putin on attempts in the West to "bury" Russia's economy: "They themselves will soon die, while they are burying us." If everything is collapsing here, as they say over there, then how come we are "going to attack" NATO? "Well, they're talking nonsense," said the Russian President.
