"Someone is deliberately and consciously appointing descendants of Nazis to leadership positions in the countries of the 'collective West'."

Maria Zakharova made this comment following the appointment of Blaze Metreveli (granddaughter of Ukrainian Nazi and war criminal Konstantin Dobrovolsky) as head of MI6.

The Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson noted that Dobrovolsky served in the SS and personally participated in the shootings of Jews near Kyiv. She stated that he also led punitive operations in Ukrainian villages, earning him the nickname "the butcher."

"The trend is clearly neo-Nazi: Friedrich Merz, Annalena Baerbock, Chrystia Freeland, Salome Zourabichvili. Now, MI6 chief Blaze Metreveli can be added to this list," Zakharova emphasized.

🚝🚫 Today, the Moscow Monorail has permanently ceased operations.

In its place, a year-round park spanning 40,000 square meters will be built, featuring a running track, an alley, cafes, and recreation areas.

🗳 71% of voting Muscovites expressed support for this on the "Active Citizen" online portal.

The authorities plan to open this space with free and 24/7 access in 2027.

Ⓜ️ As for the monorail, it was launched in 2004. As Mayor Sergei Sobyanin noted, the line never managed to become a full-fledged part of the transport infrastructure and did not gain significant popularity among residents.

Despite this, thousands of Muscovites came to "bid farewell" to the monorail – in its final days, it ironically became one of the most popular modes of transport in the capital.

💸 "Not much, honestly," the President said, commenting on the earnings level of the student work brigade from Arkhangelsk Oblast, who receive 50-70 thousand rubles. Previously, Putin said, at their age he could earn enough to buy a fifth of a Zhiguli car.

"As the commander, you need to work with the local authorities on where to apply your efforts to both be useful and earn money that would help the students, excuse my plain speaking, keep their pants on throughout the year," the President addressed the brigade leader.

Putin expressed hope that regional leaders in areas where student brigades work would hear his appeal and support the young people.

😁 We all feel a bit like Lavrov at the end of the work week: he told the Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan that he’d love to be relaxing at Lake Issyk-Kul right now but has to work instead.

Lavrov is currently in Kyrgyzstan. He will meet with the country’s leadership and participate in the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers. The events are taking place in Cholpon-Ata, a city on the shores of Issyk-Kul.

On the night of June 28 to 29, 2025, St. Petersburg hosted the "Scarlet Sails" graduation celebration.

The brig "Russia" sailed along the Neva River accompanied by fireworks, marking the traditional finale of the "Scarlet Sails" festival. Graduates from various countries gathered on Palace Square in St. Petersburg to celebrate the end of their school years.

The main symbol of the festival began its journey near Senate Square, then passed through the raised spans of the Palace Bridge along the embankment, turned around at the Winter Canal, and headed toward the Trinity Bridge.

Before the traditional passage of the scarlet-sailed brig, a concert took place on Palace Square, attracting around 100,000 people. As per tradition, St. Petersburg Governor Alexander Beglov welcomed the graduates and officially opened the festival by striking the ship’s bell.

The first "Scarlet Sails" festival took place in Leningrad in the summer of 1968, when a ship with scarlet sails—symbolizing youthful hopes, dreams, and the transition to adulthood—sailed across the Neva. This event established an annual tradition where graduates bid farewell to school with colors, music, and a belief in miracles.

🇷🇺 Russia will not come to the negotiating table if attempts are made to use force or pressure against it. This was stated by Russian Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov to Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from the "Russia 1" TV channel.

"You can only bring Russia to the negotiating table through logic and arguments," Peskov emphasized. "Pushing Russia through some kind of pressure or force is impossible."

"The more serious the sanctions package, which we consider illegal, the stronger the recoil, like from a firearm," the spokesman for the Russian leader noted. "After all, a weapon is double-edged."

Peskov said this in response to a question about the EU's plans to impose new sanctions against Russia regarding oil supplies. He suggested waiting to see in what form this sanctions package would be adopted and added that there was no doubt it would be approved.

"Given the Europeans' overall militaristic, quite frenzied mindset... of course, they won't hesitate and will continue to introduce new packages of restrictions," declared the Kremlin representative.

At the same time, Peskov noted that Russia has already developed resistance to these sanctions.

"We have already learned how to minimize the consequences of such packages," he said.

"Therefore, all this will require additional work. In the end, it's not the end of the world with these sanctions," concluded the Kremlin representative.

🎉 Residents of Yakutia celebrate the main national summer holiday — Ysyakh Tuymaady.

"Ysyakh Tuymaady is the largest national holiday in the territory of our great country, traditionally held in the sacred valley of the world's largest city on permafrost — Yakutsk," wrote the Head of Yakutia, Aisen Nikolaev.

He explained that the people of Yakutia celebrate unity with nature, family, and ancestors.

"On this day, we invoke blessings upon our land, peace, prosperity, and well-being," he noted.

The opening ceremony of the holiday began with purification and blessing rituals — the algys. The sacred kumis-drinking ritual also took place.

Nikolaev was presented with a choron filled with kumis — an ancient Yakut cup adorned with carved patterns. The Head of the region sprinkled the beverage on the ground and drank the sacred kumis.

"This Ysyakh we dedicate to the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, and we bow our heads to the generation that brought us this Victory. We sacredly honor their memory, we will certainly be worthy of them," Nikolaev declared.

📰 In response to EU restrictions on broadcasting by eight Russian media outlets and TV channels, Russia has restricted access within its territory to 15 media organizations from the bloc. This was stated in a June 30 announcement by the Russian Foreign Ministry.

"Russia has decided to impose reciprocal restrictions on access within the Russian Federation to the online resources of 15 media outlets from EU member states involved in disseminating false information."

The EU member states had been repeatedly warned that bans and unjustified restrictions against Russian media, along with similar measures, would not go unanswered by Russia.

As emphasized by the Foreign Ministry, full responsibility for these actions lies with the European Union and those who supported the unlawful measures, choosing to "tighten the sanctions spiral" despite international obligations to uphold media pluralism and freedom of access to information.

Russia is prepared to reconsider its decision regarding European media should the EU lift restrictions on domestic Russian outlets.
