🚓 In Kuban, Traffic Police Inspectors Drove Schoolchildren to Exams with Flashing Lights

A traffic jam formed on the highway, and the students risked being late for their Unified State Exam, which would have meant retaking it next year. As reported by the press service of the Kuban police, they were taken in a patrol car.

On the morning of July 4th, a truck carrying huge pipes got stuck on the serpentine section of the "Don" highway. As a result, traffic on that section was temporarily stopped, and cars were diverted.

"At that very time, schoolchildren from the villages of Pshada and Arkhipo-Osipovka were traveling by bus to take the USE. Due to the delay, they would have had to take the exam next year," the regional police press service noted.

Four police officers in two traffic police patrol cars decided to help the schoolchildren and drove them with flashing lights to the exam center. As a result, the teenagers arrived on time.

🌺 Flower That Hid Underground for 15 Years Blooms in Kamchatka

A small miracle has occurred on the Avachinsky Pass in Kamchatka. The rarest flower, Yatabe's Lady's Slipper (Cypripedium yatabeanum), has bloomed here. This is not just a beautiful plant; it's a true master of survival and a cunning hunter.

The uniqueness of this flower lies in its incredible patience. For over 15 years, it hid underground, feeding through symbiotic fungi, and only now has it revealed its elegant "slipper" to the world.

Its slipper-shaped petal is a trap for insects. A sweet vanilla scent and juicy hairs lure pollinators inside. Spiders have appreciated nature's ingenious design and spin their webs right on the flower, turning it into a deadly trap for unsuspecting midges.

Yatabe's Lady's Slipper is extremely rare, and its blooming is a real event for scientists and tourists. The plant is listed in the Red Data Book, and picking it is strictly prohibited.

Stormy weather continues to rage on in Russia.

Due to torrential rains, parts of Tyumen's streets were submerged, hiding all manhole covers from view. As a result, at one crossing, a girl didn't see the opening and fell in up to her neck (video 1). A second woman ran to help her but stumbled and fell in too. They were pulled out by other passers-by.

Tolyatti was also flooded. The city's streets turned into rivers (videos 2 and 3). The water level rose so high that it's even flooding public transport. Cars are floating, and people are wading through knee-deep water. An "orange" weather hazard level was declared in the region.

The situation is no better in Ufa, the capital of Bashkortostan: building entrances are flooded in various districts, trees have been knocked down, and road collapses have occurred.
