"I want to answer with Donald Trump's words: 'As if I would tell you. And expect major surprises,' he said. But I don't know about major surprises. There are things that are not commented on," the Foreign Minister said.
He noted that he had confirmed Russia's position on settling the situation in Ukraine during the meeting with Rubio.
Yesterday, Lavrov held a meeting with US Secretary of State Rubio in Kuala Lumpur. Following the meeting, the head of the State Department stated that the sides discussed a "road map" for ending the conflict in Ukraine and a "new approach" to a peaceful settlement.

In that less-than-a-minute interaction, they even managed to discuss something – likely the sentry's comfort level.

🐉 Kamchatka's Ice Dragon: How the Siberian Salamander Survives at -40°C and Warms Up by Volcanoes
An inhabitant capable of surviving extreme conditions that kill most living beings has been discovered in the Kronotsky Reserve of Kamchatka. It's the Siberian salamander. This "super newt" calmly endures frosts down to -40°C by wintering in decayed logs/stumps, and in summer, it warms itself by volcanic hot springs.
In the Uzon Volcano caldera, at 650 meters above sea level, the salamanders have set up a "nursery" for their offspring. In transparent, spiral-shaped sacs attached to aquatic plants, larvae with gills and tiny legs are developing. In a month, new "ice dragons" will emerge from them.
The salamander's unique ability to freeze into ice and revive in spring has already been studied by scientists, but its connection to Kamchatka's volcanic landscapes is only now being revealed. These amphibians are living indicators of ecosystem health – their presence signifies clean water and soil.

The unmanned vessel "Briz" (Breeze), tested in the waters of Arkhangelsk port earlier this week, has successfully reached the Solovetsky Islands.
The total time for the experimental transit was 21 hours. During the voyage, several tasks were successfully executed, including the ability to navigate around obstacles and practice early avoidance maneuvers with other vessels.
The "Briz" is carrying cargo that will help ensure the stable operation of the islands' power grid. In the future, maritime drones will enable the regular delivery of essential supplies to the most remote corners of the Pomor coastal region.
"This is the first unmanned vessel voyage in the Arctic Zone, and I am pleased that the Arkhangelsk region is becoming the country's pilot region in developing this type of water transport. We aim to develop this sector, create new jobs, and thereby strengthen the economy of the Arkhangelsk region," noted Alexander Tsybulsky, the region's Governor.

Unlike French lavender fields, the Crimean ones are planted with very narrow gaps between the rows, creating the sensation of an unbroken carpet of flowers. Crimean lavender, or more precisely, narrow-leaved lavender, is a subshrub with narrow leaves and lilac or even purple flowers that feel dry to the touch, resembling spikelets.

Sergey Ryabkov, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister, stated that BRICS has no hidden agenda, and the West's fear of the association stems from a lack of confidence in its own strength.
"You always need an external enemy, some target to fight against. This, perhaps, psychologists can explain as a feeling of inner inadequacy or lack of confidence in one's own strength," the Russian diplomat said during a press conference following the XVII BRICS Summit in Rio.
There were also a couple of pieces of advice for Western leaders experiencing fear of the association:
"Those who fear BRICS should simply read what is written in the documents. They should do their homework, study the subject matter… Then maybe they'll feel better, but they could also take some sedative in parallel," Ryabkov noted.
No matter how often BRICS representatives declare the absence of anti-Western rhetoric and their focus on building a fair multipolar world, Western leaders simply do not hear these words.
Or don't want to hear them.
For obvious reasons.
