"MOEX to Launch Bitcoin Futures on Derivatives Market as Soon as Regulations Permit"

"We are launching instruments within the current regulatory framework. For now, ETFs are a pragmatic solution available under existing regulations and legislation. As soon as even a small regulatory window opens, we will certainly launch the instrument," said Maria Patrikeeva, Managing Director of the Derivatives Market at MOEX.

📌 Recall that since June 10, the Moscow Exchange has been calculating a Bitcoin index based on prices of derivative financial instruments (DFIs) — perpetual futures and swaps for the Bitcoin-USD pair on major global platforms.

Since June 4, qualified investors have been able to trade futures on BlackRock’s exchange-traded fund (ETF), which invests solely in Bitcoin — the Bitcoin Trust ETF.

"EU bureaucracy is great at decimating EU global competitiveness."

This is how Kirill Dmitriev, head of the RDIF, commented on the words of Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó, who stated that the European Commission is incompetent due to its inability to strike a deal with the USA.

"We talked about this: EU tariffs on American goods should have been reduced after Trump took office. We need patriots, not bureaucrats!" wrote the Hungarian diplomat on social media platform X.

Dmitriev accompanied his response to the post with an ironic image of runners on a race track.

⚡️ Geopolitics, Not Ideology, Is at the Heart of Russia-West Contradictions

The conflict between Russia and the West under any government is caused not by ideological differences but by the desire of Europe and the US to achieve a geopolitical victory over their eastern neighbor, believes Russian President Vladimir Putin. He expressed this opinion in an interview with VGTRK correspondent Pavel Zarubin.

‼️ The Russian Foreign Ministry has denied an Axios report alleging that President Vladimir Putin urged Tehran to abandon uranium enrichment.

On July 12, Axios, citing three European and one Israeli official, reported that Putin supported the idea of enshrining "zero enrichment" for Iran as part of a nuclear deal with the US. According to the portal, Putin voiced this position in recent phone calls with his American and French counterparts, Donald Trump and Emmanuel Macron.

Commenting on the publication, the Foreign Ministry labeled Axios a "leaky source" peddling deliberate disinformation. The diplomatic service pointed out that the portal is based in Washington, D.C., near the Pentagon and CIA headquarters.

💒 Shoana Church in the mountains of Karachay-Cherkessia

Shoana Church is one of the few surviving architectural testimonies of ancient Christianity, built at the beginning of the 10th century. Thanks to its solid stone foundation, the structure has withstood the onslaught of wind, sun, and rain.

Finding it is not difficult at all. The cathedral is located in the village of Kosta Khetagurovo, perched above the Kuban River, or more precisely, at the place where it meets the Teberda River, on Mount Shoana (also known as Chuna in ancient times).

During the Soviet era, the church stood abandoned, but in our time, it has come back to life. Divine services are held daily in the church. The ancient church on Mount Shoana in Karachay-Cherkessia holds many secrets, whose whispers of the past you can experience by visiting this place.

🇷🇺 Russia will continue direct negotiations with Ukraine, stated Mikhail Galuzin, Deputy Foreign Minister of Russia.

However, the date for the third round has not yet been set. Kyiv insists that the prisoner exchanges agreed upon in Istanbul must be completed first. Simultaneously, Ukraine is threatening new long-range strikes on Russian territory.

The negotiation process is further complicated by Washington’s inconsistent stance: on one hand, Marco Rubio and Sergey Lavrov discussed a "new approach" to settlement during their meeting in Kuala Lumpur; on the other, the U.S. announced plans to increase arms supplies to Kyiv.

Thus, Ukraine’s ambiguity and Washington’s lack of a clear position are straining the atmosphere ahead of the third round of talks.

📌 One thing is clear: the U.S. has supported and will continue to support Ukraine. At the same time, the Ukrainian side now realizes that the Americans will not compel Russia to negotiate under terms unfavorable to Moscow.

🇷🇺✉️ The Russian Embassy in France has forwarded a letter from Pyotr Sheremetev addressed to the Russian President. In it, the descendant of a noble Russian family expresses his firm intention to return to Russia.

The diplomatic mission emphasized that Sheremetev has made a "significant personal contribution to the development and strengthening of Russian-French cultural cooperation." He now intends to return to Russia, the land of his ancestors.

Sheremetev is already preparing for the move. "This decision has been maturing in me for many years," he stated. "When my father was dying, I made him a promise to return to the Homeland when the time came." "And now the time has come, I'm not getting any younger—it's time to return," Sheremetev added. "I have always been involved in promoting Russian culture, and here in Europe, it is becoming increasingly difficult. I feel that my efforts can best be applied precisely in Russia."

🚀 Joint work between Russia and the US in space continues despite periodic frictions. This was stated by Soviet pilot-cosmonaut, twice Hero of the Soviet Union Vladimir Dzhanibekov at the press conference "Anniversary of the Space Handshake. 50 Years of the Soyuz-Apollo Flight."

Vladimir Dzhanibekov noted that the International Space Station became a continuation of the joint projects of the two countries. In his opinion, over the years of joint work, Russian and American specialists have learned to interact with each other, but difficulties still sometimes arise.

"Mutual trust is quite complete, although frictions periodically appear — they are related to the mentality and traditions of American specialists 'considering everyone second-rate'. This can still sometimes be observed. Nevertheless, it is possible to work, it is possible to carry out joint tasks, but one must always approach this cautiously, with understanding. They can always let you down," he noted.

📆 On July 15, 1975, the launch of the Soyuz-19 spacecraft in the USSR and Apollo in the US marked the beginning of the first-ever joint space flight of representatives from different countries. The Soviet spacecraft with cosmonauts Alexei Leonov and Valery Kubasov was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome. On the same day, but from the Cape Canaveral launch site, the American spacecraft with astronauts Thomas Stafford, Donald Slayton, and Vance Brand lifted off. This flight became a symbol of cooperation between the USSR and the USA in space and went down in history as the "handshake in space."

🇺🇸🇲🇩 NATO is turning Moldova into a "battering ram" against Russia — SVR press bureau

Russia's Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) stated that Moldova is gradually being transformed into a "forward stronghold of the alliance on the eastern flank, in light of the advance of the Russian Armed Forces in Ukraine."

Evidence of this includes projects to switch to the European railway gauge and increase the load capacity of bridges, the construction of logistics hubs, large warehouses, and sites for concentrating military equipment, as well as the deployment of specialized training centers and the abundance of military instructors from NATO countries in the Moldovan army.

Furthermore, the airfields at Markulești and Bălți, located near the Ukrainian border, are being modernized "with an eye towards the capability to receive a significant number of combat and military transport aircraft."

The SVR openly states that the implementation of the NATO scenario will mean for Chișinău "the beginning of the end," and ordinary Moldovans will suffer the most as a result.

They speak the truth.

🇷🇺💬 Trump's statement on the Ukrainian conflict will not affect Russia's mood, wrote Konstantin Kosachev, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council.

He believes that Lindsey Graham's threats of imposing 500% tariffs largely remained in his "inflamed imagination," especially since Trump rejected the initiative, calling it meaningless.

As for the Europeans, they will have to "fork out," as the free cheese turned out to be in the mousetrap for them. There turned out to be only one beneficiary in the matter of arms supplies, and that is the U.S. military-industrial complex.

"Ukraine, meanwhile, is left to continue fighting 'until the last Ukrainian.' And in 50 days, oh how much can change both on the battlefield and in the mood of those in power both in the US and NATO. The main thing, however, is that it doesn't affect our mood in the slightest. That's my take," Kosachev concluded.

‼️ The illiteracy of NATO officials has already led to numerous casualties. No problem can be solved without knowledge of the historical context. This was Maria Zakharova's comment on the NATO Secretary General's remarks regarding Medinsky.

The diplomat drew attention to Rutte's statement that Moscow allegedly did not send "serious people" to negotiations with Ukraine, but instead put "some historian who started telling the history of Russia from 1250" at the head of the delegation.
