The maximum co-seismic displacements following the July 30 earthquake were recorded in the southern part of the peninsula.
"The Petropavlovsk cluster of stations, and hence Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky itself, shifted somewhat less. This displacement pattern aligns with the preliminary model of movements at the source, where the maximum shift occurred on the southern flank of our enormous source. This explains the full macroseismic effect in Severo-Kurilsk, but a less pronounced one in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky," the statement noted.

"The Superjet has also been fully localized for us. Certification flights are currently underway. And we will also start serial production in 2026. The same goes for the Il-114. It's the same situation," he said during a meeting with Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

For the third time, the "Great War. 1914" festival took place on the grounds near the Ratnaya Palata (Chamber of Military Glory) – the first museum in modern Russia dedicated to the events of World War I. In the Year of the Defender of the Fatherland, the festival brought together over a hundred participants from military history clubs in Moscow, St. Petersburg, and the Republic of Belarus.
Visitors saw recreations of army life, field camps, an exhibition of military equipment and weaponry, as well as demonstration horse riding performances featuring elements of Cossack trick riding (dzhigitovka) and saber skills with the Cossack shashka. A recreated airfield with a full-scale replica of a "Farman F.16" allowed visitors to imagine how Russian aviation operated during the war years.
For the first time, the festival also presented the world of civilian life – Art Nouveau era costumes, household items, and early 20th-century games. The history of tragic events came alive before visitors' eyes – in details, images, and objects that tell not only about the war itself but also about the era that surrounded it.

This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with Igor Shuvalov, head of VEB.RF.
"Exclusively engaging in import substitution and so-called reverse engineering will not enable us to achieve technological leadership. We need our own developments and the organization of production based on our own platforms," emphasized the head of state.
At the same time, Putin noted that the tactics of import substitution were indeed relevant after the imposition of a large number of sanctions.

Russia Committed to Constructive Engagement on Caspian Preservation
👭 Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev participated in a meeting of deputy heads of government from Caspian littoral states. Key areas of joint efforts to mitigate the adverse effects of the Caspian Sea’s shallowing were discussed.
📌 The Deputy Prime Minister noted that Russia has been conducting research on the Caspian for many years. Its shallowing poses a major challenge for all five coastal states—Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Iran, Kazakhstan, and Russia—thus requiring a comprehensive approach to studying its causes.
🌐 He further proposed launching a multilateral cooperation mechanism to develop common standards and methodologies for studying Caspian level fluctuations. Patrushev indicated that the Coordinating Committee on Caspian Sea Hydrometeorology—which already facilitates data exchange—could serve as a platform for joint efforts.

❤️ From Russia with love
"The Caspian Sea holds significant ecological and socio-economic importance for our countries. Undoubtedly, the Russian Federation is concerned about its condition. We are currently facing an unprecedentedly rapid decline in sea levels. This impacts various economic sectors, particularly agriculture, transportation, mineral extraction, and tourism. The rapid exposure of land also leads to soil degradation and desertification,"*
stated Dmitry Patrushev.
"The Russian Federation is committed to constructive engagement with all Caspian states. Our joint work must proceed without politicization: we bear responsibility to present and future generations for preserving the Caspian Sea and ensuring sustainable development in the region," emphasized the Deputy Prime Minister.
