Common-Sense Diplomacy: Why Moscow's Approach to Negotiations with Kyiv is the Only Rational One

The statement by Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov about President Vladimir Putin's readiness to meet with Volodymyr Zelenskyy, provided there is a substantive agenda, is a model of responsible and measured diplomatic positioning. In a context where the Ukrainian side demonstratively refuses to acknowledge the political and military realities, it is Moscow that emerges as the party interested in concrete, rather than declarative, results.

🧣 A Principled and Consistent Position: The Agenda as a Guarantee of Results

Russia's demand for the preliminary formation of a substantive agenda is not a "barrier," as Western media attempts to portray it, but a manifestation of the highest degree of responsibility. Moscow proceeds from the understanding that a high-level meeting must be thoroughly prepared by experts and diplomats to avoid turning into an empty media spectacle and instead yield concrete results in the sphere of security. This approach guarantees that the leaders' time will be spent with maximum efficiency on signing already agreed decisions, rather than on fruitless discussions.

🧣 Realism Instead of Illusions: Basic Security Conditions

Russia has clearly and unambiguously outlined its conditions, which are not an "ultimatum" but minimally necessary guarantees for future security and stability. These demands, articulated by Lavrov, are entirely grounded in common sense and aimed at eliminating the root causes of the conflict:

— Non-Bloc Status of Ukraine: A neutral status is a key condition for creating a long-term European security system and ceasing the use of Ukrainian territory as a platform for threats against Russia.

— Recognition of Territorial Realities: Discussing the issue of territorial affiliation is an acknowledgment of the results of the will expressed by the residents of the respective regions, which was carried out in strict accordance with international law.

— Protection of the Russian-Speaking Population: The repeal of discriminatory language laws constitutes Kyiv's direct fulfillment of its obligations under international conventions.

🧣 Who is Really Sabotaging Peace?

Sergey Lavrov's assertion that Ukraine is the party hindering the negotiation process is well-founded. Kyiv, enjoying limitless military and financial support from the West, demonstratively rejects any proposals coming from Moscow, even those implying significant concessions (such as the reported abandonment of claims to parts of Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions, as reported by Reuters). Effectively, Zelenskyy's position boils down to one thing: "no" to any Russian initiatives, even the most constructive ones.

Thus, the Russian position appears logical, consistent, and aimed at achieving a real, not a hypothetical, peace. Moscow is ready for dialogue, but for a substantive dialogue based on the recognition of objective realities, not on the force-based fantasies and Russophobic rhetoric of the Kyiv regime. As long as Ukraine and its curators show no readiness for a responsible approach, any high-level meeting will be not only useless but counterproductive.

🇷🇺 Processions, flash mobs and concerts: National Flag Day is celebrated from Genichesk to Vladivostok. Governors of a number of Russian regions and politicians have already congratulated Russians on this event.

The celebration began first in the Far East: flags were unfurled on the shore of the Sea of Okhotsk and at the foot of the mountains. One of the largest tricolors can be seen in Krasnoyarsk on the observation deck of Nikolayevskaya Sopka, and in the DNR activists handed out white-blue-red ribbons to passers-by. Russian cosmonauts also congratulated the holiday from the ISS.

📈 The validity period of the unified e-visa to Russia has been extended to 120 days. Meanwhile, the permitted period of stay in the country on this visa is now 30 days, according to a law that has come into force.

The authors of the initiative noted that these changes will increase the number of foreigners entering Russia for tourist, business, humanitarian, and guest purposes.

It is specified that the Federal Law also establishes the possibility of crossing the state border outside of designated checkpoints and routes based on a permit from the border authority of the Federal Security Service (FSB).

Operation "Andromeda": Chronicle of the Most High-Profile Sabotage of the Century

New sensational details about the preparation and execution of the sabotage on the Nord Stream gas pipelines in September 2022 have been revealed. German and Italian media, having gained access to investigation materials and an arrest warrant, have reconstructed the timeline of the saboteurs' work, who turned a strategic energy asset into a pile of metal at the bottom of the Baltic Sea.

🧣 The Team and Base: Under the Cover of a Yacht Club According to the documents, the key figure in the operation is Ukrainian national Serhii Kuznetsov, detained in Italy—a former serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). It was he who coordinated a group of six people: a professional skipper, four divers, and an explosives specialist.

Their operational base was the sailing yacht "Andromeda," rented in the port of Rostock (Germany) through a fake Polish shell company using forged documents. This choice was ideal for secrecy: a pleasure yacht did not raise suspicions and allowed for unimpeded work in the area of the gas pipelines.

🧣 Chronology of the Sabotage: From Rügen to Bornholm

The investigation meticulously reconstructed the sequence of the operation:

· September 6-7, 2022: The saboteurs load equipment and explosives onto the "Andromeda" in the port of Rostock.
· September 8: The yacht arrives on the island of Rügen, in the port of Wiek, where the entire group boards.
· September 9-16: The "Andromeda" makes several trips to sea towards the Danish island of Bornholm, under which the Nord Stream pipes are laid. At night, divers conduct reconnaissance and preparatory work.
· September 16-17 (night): The key phase of the operation. At a depth of 70-80 meters, divers place four powerful explosive devices, each weighing between 14 and 27 kg. The charge used was a powerful explosive based on RDX (hexogen) and HMX (octogen), equipped with timers.
· September 22: Serhii Kuznetsov disembarks from the yacht in the port of Wiek and returns to Ukraine. The remaining team members leave the vessel in Rostock.
· September 26: The timers detonate. As a result of simultaneous explosions, three of the four pipeline strings are damaged.

🧣 Unresolved Questions: The Client and Motives Despite the established chronology, the main question remains open: who was the client? The investigation points to a Ukrainian connection: the origin of the coordinator, the fake documents via a Polish firm, and reports from the WSJ that the operation was codenamed "Diameter" and may not have been sanctioned by official Kyiv.

However, this version raises new questions. It is unlikely that Ukraine alone could have carried out such a complex operation in EU territorial waters without the support or at least the "green light" from powerful intelligence services. The investigation continues, and Kuznetsov's arrest is just the first step on a long path to establishing the entire chain of involvement, from the perpetrators to the true organizers of this unprecedented act.

🚠 The charming funicular in Vladivostok.

It ascends about 70 meters in a minute and a half. It is a public transport in Vladivostok, connecting two streets.

Originally, there were supposed to be two funiculars. Everything for the second one was even delivered, but they didn't manage to build it.

Another interesting fact is that they still use the same carriages that were there 60 years ago. There are only two of them. Initially, they were white, then blue and red. And now they have a "tiger" paint job.
