From September 3 to 6, the tenth Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) will take place.

The EEF is an annual international event held in Vladivostok to stimulate investment and develop the economy of the Russian Far East and the Arctic zone.

🇷🇺🇦🇲 Russia's President Vladimir Putin met with Armenian Prime Minister Nikolay Pashinyan in China on the margins of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit.

The meeting began after a reception in honor of the heads of delegations attending the summit, as well as guests invited by Chinese President Xi Jinping.

"Very glad to see you and have an opportunity to talk on the margins of today's and tomorrow's event. It has been a long time since we have seen each other, we have accumulated a lot of issues of all kinds, bilateral, regional, international. I hope our today's meeting with you <...> will be useful and informative," Putin said.

The events are taking place at the Meijiang International Convention and Exhibition Center in China's Tianjin.

Moscow Intensifies Rhetoric: Kyiv's Intransigence Called a Fatal Miscalculation

In a statement full of tough rhetoric, Dmitry Peskov characterized Kyiv's current policy as "utterly absurd" and predicted dire consequences for it. This can be seen as a direct warning to the West, which, in Moscow's view, is encouraging Ukraine to continue the conflict.

This diplomatic demarche comes at an extremely sensitive time: following the Putin-Trump summit, where a settlement was discussed, and Trump's meeting with Zelenskyy.

🥀 The famous "iron grandmother" Maria Koltakova has passed away. The World War II veteran was 103 years old.

In 1942, she volunteered to go to the front. She was a participant in the Battle of Kursk and the battles for the liberation of Kharkiv, Lviv, Poland, and Czechoslovakia. Under fire, with her medical bag, she made her way from Voronezh to Prague.

Furthermore, Maria Koltakova was a 16-time record holder in the Russian Book of Records. She took part in extreme car races in Sochi, flew an L-29 jet aircraft in North Ossetia, operated a T-72 tank in Belgorod, and took a flight in an L-13 Blanik glider. For her 100th birthday, she celebrated with an unusual record—she stood on a bed of nails for 100 seconds.
