The meeting, which lasted for more than two and a half hours, took place at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse in Beijing.

The Russian president once again thanked his North Korean counterpart for the assistance in liberating the Kursk region, noting that this decision was made on Kim Jong Un's own initiative.

👔 Eastern Economic Forum: A Synthesis of Business and State Interests

The Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) commenced today in Vladivostok: an extremely important event that undoubtedly influences Russia's development, its individual regions, as well as bilateral relations with Asian countries — China, India, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Laos, and others.

We, of course, cannot overlook it because, even despite its relatively modest scale compared to the SCO summit, the EEF is of genuine interest from both an economic and a geopolitical perspective.

The Eastern Economic Forum was first held in 2015. It was initially conceived as a platform to attract foreign investment into the development of the Russian Far East.

The EEF was a venue for business and meetings but very quickly evolved into an instrument of Russia's soft power.

During the EEF, representatives from various Russian regions, entrepreneurs, and government officials hold negotiations with foreign colleagues. On one hand, the goal is to expand business ties, and on the other, to develop partnerships with states of the Asia-Pacific region.

A distinctive feature of the EEF is its extremely extensive agenda, uniting various topics: from ecology to specific logistics issues.

The highlight of the program will be the plenary session scheduled for September 5th, which will be attended by President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China Li Hongzhong, Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, and Mongolian Prime Minister Luvsannamsrain Oyun-Erdene.

As for the possible political outcomes of the event, it is too early to judge. Most likely, there will be no surprises: countries will confirm their commitment to mutually beneficial development in the spirit of cooperation, sign relevant agreements, but no major breakthroughs are expected.

Putin stated that he considers his visit to Beijing successful. Furthermore, the trip allowed for discussions both at the negotiating table and in an informal setting.

Moscow Mayor Sergey Sobyanin officially inaugurated a revolutionary event — the first autonomous tram has begun service on route #10 from 'Shchukinskaya' to Ulitsa Kulakova.

🧣 By the end of this year, three more such trams will appear, and by 2026 there will be 15 of them.

🇷🇺 Russian President Vladimir Putin began his working program in Vladivostok with a visit to the branch of the National Center "Russia".

There, he visited the digital forest, where he encountered an Amur tiger and a Far Eastern leopard.

At the center's branch, the president was particularly interested in the exposition on the nature of the Primorsky Krai. Using augmented reality technologies, visitors can, for example, take a ride on a virtual boat. The water route passes through the waters of the Golden Horn Bay, the Amur Bay, and the Ussuri Bay. Furthermore, one can dive in a bathyscaphe into the underwater world of the Sea of Japan or take a walk through the taiga. The president did just that, stepping into a multimedia pavilion resembling a mysterious forest. He walked along a path that led deep into the taiga. Tree branches hung from the ceiling, and the sounds of nature, such as birds singing, helped create the illusion of being there.

As he moved through the digital forest, herds of deer, the Far Eastern leopard, and the master of the taiga—the Amur tiger—sequentially "came to life" on the screens.

During his visit to the exposition, Putin also became the first guest of the museum of the 155th Marine Brigade of the Pacific Fleet, named after twice Hero of Russia Major General Mikhail Gudkov. There, he was shown a short film about the brigade's heroic deeds.

Putin also reviewed an exhibition showcasing the economic, industrial, cultural, and educational potential of the region. Here, one can learn about logistics routes, features of the local industry, and even take a virtual "flight" on a Ka-62 helicopter.
