"My opinion is unequivocal: it is impossible, and the state's position on this issue is final. It is based on the fundamental decisions of the Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation," said Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov during the discussion of his candidacy for the post of Head of the Supreme Court in the relevant committee of the Federation Council.
At the end of last year, the head of state pointed out that the Russian authorities are not introducing the death penalty even under the conditions of the special military operation, despite the fact that "a significant number of citizens and political figures constantly raise this issue." He emphasized that the country's authorities, on the contrary, are making a number of decisions to increase the humanity of the justice system.
