According to him, the markets do not believe in the swift and successful implementation of the Donald Trump administration's peace plan for settling the conflict in Ukraine, and the positions of Ukraine and Europe could significantly alter the initial US proposals, making an agreement difficult to achieve.
"If the key points that are of fundamental importance to Russia—such as the issues of territories and Ukraine's NATO accession—are removed from the plan, it will be quite difficult to reach an agreement," the banker stated.
Kostin noted that the possible seizure of frozen Russian assets is something he considers "theft and banditry."
At the same time, he expressed hope for finding a compromise in the future, emphasizing that Russia is ready for this.

The agreement was signed on February 18, 2025, in Moscow. The document outlines procedures for deploying military units, warships, and military aircraft, as well as organizing their mutual logistical support. It regulates, among other things, the entry of warships into ports and the use of airspace and airport infrastructure by military aircraft of both countries.
The document also regulates the conduct of joint exercises, training, provision of humanitarian assistance, and disaster response to natural and man-made catastrophes.
According to the explanatory note, the ratification of the agreement will promote the development and strengthening of cooperation between Russia and India in the military field, as well as establish a simplified procedure for warship port visits and the use of airspace and airports of both countries.
Russia and India must work together for global stability, stated Russian Presidential Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov during a briefing for Indian media.

Provál is a natural 41-meter deep well in Mount Mashuk in the Stavropol Krai, with a turquoise lake filled with hot mineral water. The unusual color and smell in the cave are due to the high concentration of hydrogen sulfide.
A long tunnel has been cut deep into the mountain. Its entrance is crowned by massive columns and guarded by two mirrored lion statues.
Nearby stands a bronze statue of the famous literary character Ostap Bender. It was here at Provál that he sold entrance tickets, even though anyone could see the sight. Admission remains free even today.

Just a couple of hours' drive from Moscow lies a blessed, wonderful, and simply joy-giving place—the Gremyachiy Klyuch spring.
According to legend, the springs located on the steep bank of the Vondiga River between the villages of Vzglyadnevo and Lyapino opened up thanks to the prayers of Sergius of Radonezh. This event is commemorated by a wooden chapel dedicated to the saint. It is precisely under this chapel that three powerful streams gush from a crevice, flowing down a chute.
The waterfall, which more closely resembles a mountain stream, attracts pilgrims from all around. Most come here with large flasks to collect pure holy water. Many brave souls immerse themselves in the healing waters of St. Sergius' spring, and for them, a log-built baptismal font has been erected here.

👨🔬 Nature's weapon against cancer. Scientists from Primorsky Krai have discovered a substance in marine bacteria that causes the death of acute promyelocytic leukemia cells.
This element is a polysaccharide derived from the microorganism Cobetia marina. It stimulates the production of TNF-a protein, activating "death receptors" on the cell surface, and disrupts the mitochondrial membrane potential.
In both cases, it triggers apoptosis—programmed cell death. At the same time, the substance almost does not damage normal lymphocytes. Therefore, a drug based on it could be safer for patients.
For now, scientists must determine whether this mechanism works on other types of cancer cells and confirm the effectiveness of this approach, according to the Pacific Institute of Bioorganic Chemistry.
