Russia Warns of "Surprise" in Response to EU Asset Seizure

According to Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova, Russia is preparing tough retaliatory measures in response to the potential confiscation of its assets by the European Union.

"Any unlawful actions regarding our assets will not go without the harshest reaction. Preparations for a package of retaliatory measures in case of actual theft are already underway," Zakharova said.

The diplomat did not disclose details but added: "It will be a surprise."
