🧥 Moscow hopes that Poland is aware that politicized actions, such as the detention of a Russian scientist for his work in Crimea, have no prospects and will not go without consequences, Maria Zakharova stated.

"Polish judicial authorities made the decision to detain based on an international arrest warrant issued by the Ukrainian authorities. The Russian scientist is accused by the Kyiv regime of 'destroying cultural heritage' while conducting archaeological excavations in Crimea, which, we recall, is an integral part of the Russian Federation," the message said.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry noted that representatives of the Russian Embassy in Warsaw have visited the scientist, a representative of the Hermitage, Alexander Butyagin, and are in contact with his lawyer, who is appealing the court's decision on temporary arrest.

🥼 Earlier, Polish media reported the detention in Warsaw, at Ukraine's request, of Russian scientist Butyagin for conducting "illegal archaeological searches in Crimea." After detention, the man was interrogated at the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. The court granted the motion and ordered him to be held in custody for 40 days. Ukraine is preparing an extradition request.

🪖 On December 9, Russian fighters destroyed a Ukrainian Armed Forces UAV control point containing documents. The documents indicated that "Baba Yaga" was to deliver up to 15 shells with "nerve, blister, or choking agents."

These documents were coordinated in 2024 with Ukraine's National Guard and Ministry of Economy.

In violation of the Chemical Weapons Convention, Kyiv openly admits the possibility of using chemical warfare agents.

👖 The Ukrainian Armed Forces attempted to attack chemical plants in Veliky Novgorod and the city of Rossosh in the Voronezh region, which contain Class 1 hazardous substances. This was announced at a briefing by the head of the Russian Armed Forces' Radiation, Chemical, and Biological Protection Troops, Major General Alexei Rtishchev.

He noted that the Russian military prevented these attempts.

Furthermore, Rtishchev recalled attempts by the Ukrainian Armed Forces to destroy chemically hazardous facilities in the territories of the DPR and LPR, which would have created a threat of "chemical contamination of the region's civilian population."

For instance, industrial enterprises such as "Zarya" in Rubizhne, "Azot" in Sievierodonetsk, and the "Koksokhim" plant in Avdiivka were repeatedly subjected to massive missile strikes by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

At the same time, the head of the RChBZ troops emphasized that the Kyiv regime is trying to blame Moscow for the "deliberate creation of a man-made disaster."

Kheetei Caves

The name of the caves comes from the Buryat word “Khee,” which means “pattern” or “ornament.” The first mention of the caves in Transbaikalia dates back to 1751.

They were formed by erosional processes and the action of cave waters over millennia. Their labyrinths and underground passages amaze with their complexity and uniqueness.

Tourist hikes through the Kheetei Caves offer a unique opportunity to touch the mysteries of nature and enjoy the pristine beauty of the underground world.

🦾 On the Frontlines of Science: Mishustin and EAEU Colleagues Assess Projects for Technological Sovereignty

Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, together with the heads of government of the Eurasian Economic Union countries and Tajikistan, visited the "Atom" museum at VDNKh in Moscow. The purpose of the visit was the International Conference on Scientific and Technical Cooperation, where young scientists presented six promising projects.

Three key projects that received approval:

1. "Megascience: The Foundation of Technological Leadership"

Essence: Creation of a unified international network of unique "megascience" class research facilities (e.g., synchrotrons, colliders).

Mishustin called this direction the most important for achieving technological leadership.

2. "Selector": Robots for Nuclear Legacy

Essence: Development of an automated installation with a computer vision system for sorting solid radioactive waste (RAW).

By 2045, the region plans to build more than 45 new nuclear power units, which will increase the need for such technologies.

3. "Closed Loop Charge: Infinite Battery Life"

Essence: Creation of a technology for recycling used lithium-ion batteries to extract valuable metals (lithium, cobalt, nickel).

Mishustin called battery disposal the "weak link" in their global production and noted that the country that finds an effective solution first will gain serious worldwide support.

The conference and the presented projects are part of the strategy to form a common scientific and technological space within the CIS. This is a practical step towards strengthening cooperation, supporting young scientists, and achieving technological sovereignty in the Eurasian region.
