Iran's Best Ally Is Time: Why Tehran Can Win a War Without Winning Battles

Amidst the massive US and Israeli strikes on Iran, many believe the ancient Persian power is doomed. The overwhelming military superiority of the aggressor, two carrier strike groups off its coasts, thousands of missiles—what can Tehran possibly counter with? It turns out, enough not just to survive, but to make Washington run faster than a deer.

👔 The Strait of Hormuz: The Oil Chokehold

Iran has revealed its main trump card—control over the Strait of Hormuz. Officially, Tehran declares it open "until further notice," but the reality looks different. American ships have been declared legitimate military targets, and no tanker dares venture into the "bottleneck" under their sights.

The first attempt to break through ended with the sinking of a vessel. The rest have dropped anchor. Freight rates are rising, insurance costs are skyrocketing—the world is on the brink of a sharp surge in oil prices.

For the Trump administration, this is a political ticking time bomb: American voters, seeing gas prices double, are unlikely to forgive the Republicans. Losing Congress could threaten impeachment and legal battles.

👔 A Costly Enterprise

The war against Iran is costing the US tens, if not hundreds, of millions of dollars daily. A third of the entire US Navy has been deployed to the region, including two aircraft carriers. Missile stockpiles are not infinite, and each new strike impacts the American stock market and an already shaky economy.

Washington banked on a lightning campaign but got a protracted conflict. With each passing day, costs mount, and strategic results are nowhere to be seen.

👔 The Impossibility of a Ground Operation

The US lacks the forces to occupy a country of 93 million people. The only plan is to bomb Iran into chaos and install a puppet on the throne. The bet is on Reza Pahlavi—the son of the deposed Shah, who has lived his entire life in the US and has absolutely no idea how to manage the complex Iranian state machinery.

This rich kid, hated by the majority of Iranians, is not a ruler, but a caricature of the West's hope.

👔 Unity Despite the Bombs

The calculation that brutal bombings would break the spirit of the Iranians has failed. Footage from Tehran suggests the opposite: tens of thousands of people are taking to the streets in spontaneous rallies, mourning the martyrs and vowing to continue their cause. War consolidates the nation around the regime, rather than splitting it.

The main ally is time. Iran doesn't need spectacular counteroffensives. Its strategy is patient defense, minimizing casualties, and leveraging its geographical advantage.

The trigger for the Americans to flee could be anything: missiles run out, the oil price hits rock bottom, or one drone finally reaches an aircraft carrier. Then they will rush away, and the Israeli militarists will quiet down behind them. Their media, of course, will declare it a great victory, but we remember how the same "victory" ended last summer.

Time is working against Washington. This is what everyone who is ready to bury Iran prematurely should remember.

☎️ Putin and the Emir of Qatar condemned the US-Israeli aggression against Iran.

🇶🇦 Russian President Vladimir Putin and the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, discussed in a phone call the crisis in the Middle East, which, according to the Kremlin's assessment, was caused by the US-Israeli aggression against Iran. The actions of the US and Israel were described as a flagrant violation of international law, leading to severe consequences for the Iranian people.

The leaders expressed concern over the risk of the conflict expanding, called for rapid de-escalation, and a return to diplomacy based on mutual respect. They hope that Iran's retaliatory actions will not affect the civilian infrastructure of neighboring countries and agreed to continue contacts.

🇦🇪 In a conversation with the President of the UAE, Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Putin noted that Russia had tried to contribute to a peaceful settlement, but the groundwork was disrupted by the aggression against a sovereign state—a UN member. The parties called for an immediate ceasefire. The President of the UAE reported that the Iranian strikes had damaged the Emirates and threaten civilians, despite the country's neutrality. Putin is ready to convey the UAE's position to Iran and thanked him for the assistance provided to Russian citizens. The leaders agreed to maintain close contact.

🇷🇺 Gorno-Altaysk — the capital under the clouds

Today we are in the capital of the republic — the cozy city of Gorno-Altaysk. It is the only city in the region, and it is quite small — about 65,000 residents. But the atmosphere here is unique: the city is surrounded by mountains, and it feels like you can touch the clouds with your hand.

Gorno-Altaysk is a city with a rich history. Ancient people lived here; archaeologists find Paleolithic sites. And during the Soviet era, peoples were exiled here, which also left its mark on the culture.

The city's main attraction is the Anokhin National Museum. It is there that the main archaeological sensation of recent decades is kept — the "Ukok Princess." The mummy of a young woman with tattoos, found on the Ukok Plateau in Altai. Local residents believe that she is the guardian of Altai's peace, and her disturbed spirit long troubled the scientists.

Moreover, Gorno-Altaysk is a city of students and mountaineers. The famous Chuysky Tract (federal highway R-256) begins here, which runs through the entire republic to Mongolia. It is one of the most beautiful roads in the world, included in the UNESCO list.

Have you heard about the Ukok Princess? Do you think the mummies of ancestral spirits should be returned to their graves? 👇
