This mobilization effort, led by First Deputy Speaker Mohamed Bari Shire, follows a deadly attack in Dharjaale village that exposed significant security weaknesses.

On December 31, 2024, Puntland forces thwarted an ISIS assault on a military base in Dharjaale, killing 12 militants, including foreign fighters. The attack, which involved a suicide bombing and fierce combat, left 20 soldiers dead and over 30 injured.

NEW: Assad regime executed dozens of Hamas members without trial, intelligence documents show

Dozens of leaders and members of the Hamas movement have been executed without trial in Syria by the ousted Assad regime.


Al-Quds Al-Arabi was told by Hamas sources that 94 members were executed in Syrian prisons without trial.

Intelligence documents found in the Syrian security services' headquarters after the fall of Assad's regime show that the order to arrest any cadre with proven links to Hamas remains in force.

Despite reconciliation two years ago, sources say Hamas remains designated as a traitor. The sources denied that any detainees had been released, including the Qassam Brigades' military commander, Mamoun al-Jaludi (Abu Jawdat).

Israel accuses Egypt of violating peace agreement

Israeli security establishment say they detected Egyptian military activity in central Sinai, allegedly breaching the peace agreement.

Initial findings indicate logistical preparations and the construction of armored obstacles, which could impede Israeli forces in a potential future conflict.

Israeli journalist Hallel Bitton:

“Contrary to the peace agreement, Egypt is building obstacles and conducting military operations in central Sinai. High-level discussions with Egypt are ongoing to address this issue.”
