Sudan: RSF Attack on Zamzam Camp Sparks Humanitarian Crisis

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) claim to have seized control of Zamzam camp in Darfur, home to over 700,000 displaced people.

The attack, widely condemned by the UN and aid agencies, has left more than 100 dead—including 20 children and 9 aid workers—and triggered mass civilian displacement.

Relief International reported its clinic was targeted, while thousands now flee without access to food, water, or shelter.

The assault marks one of the deadliest escalations in Sudan’s ongoing conflict, deepening an already dire humanitarian crisis.
