Syria Signs 30-Year Deal with France’s CMA CGM to Modernize Latakia Port

Syria signed a landmark 30-year agreement with French shipping giant CMA CGM to redevelop and operate Latakia Port.

The €230 million ($260 million) deal includes building a 1.5 km-long, 17-meter-deep berth and upgrading port infrastructure to handle larger vessels and boost regional logistics.
