First comes strength, then comes peace.

And tonight, Trump and the United States acted with a lot of strength.

Leaders in Congress were aware of the urgency of this situation and the Commander-in-Chief evaluated that the imminent danger outweighed the time it would take for Congress to act.

The world’s largest state sponsor of terrorism, which chants “Death to America,” simply could not be allowed the opportunity to obtain and use nuclear weapons.

The President fully respects the Article I power of Congress, and tonight’s necessary, limited, and targeted strike follows the history and tradition of similar military actions under presidents of both parties.

Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization condemns the recent U.S.-Israeli strikes on its nuclear sites in Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, calling them brutal and a violation of international law and the NPT treaty.

It accused the IAEA of indifference and held the U.S. accountable, citing President Trump’s own statement.

The organization vowed to continue its nuclear program despite the attacks, and said legal action is underway to defend Iran’s rights.

AOC calls for the impeachment of Trump. The Midterm elections are next year in November.

The US is withdrawing additional diplomatic personnel from Iraq, with at least one plane leaving the country in recent hours.
