Trump signed a new proclamation further restricting entry into the United States.

The move adds full entry bans on nationals from Burkina Faso, Mali, Niger, South Sudan, and Syria, expanding an earlier list of 12 countries.

Restrictions also apply to holders of Palestinian Authority–issued travel documents.

The U.S. Federal Aviation Administration again warned major airlines of a “worsening security situation” when flying over Venezuela, urging caution.

The FAA said threats could pose risks to aircraft at all altitudes, including during overflights, takeoff and landing, and while on the ground.

The warning follows a similar notice last month and comes amid a U.S. military buildup in the southern Caribbean.

The United States and Europe have proposed a peace plan to deter future Russian attacks by strengthening Ukraine’s military, deploying European forces inside the country, and expanding U.S. intelligence support.

The plan includes binding security guarantees similar to NATO’s Article 5 and is intended to underpin a cease-fire.
