Have you ever wondered why your pint is so expensive? You work hard, you’ve got a day off, maybe you don’t have a job but you fancy a pint. But it’s so dear to go the pub with your mates, sit off w…
As the question of #Brexit rears up again perhaps it's time to revisit 'The Fate of Greece' and how it's #EU membership did nothing for Greek workers.

One of the most ludicrous notions perpetuated by the left is the assertion that unions and their leaders are immune to criticism. In reality, fostering an environment where workers feel empowered to scrutinise all facets of organisational operations is essential for upholding transparency and integrity.
When workers actively engage in critical analysis at every level of the organisation, it serves as a safeguard against corruption and ensures accountability.
The reluctance to accept constructive criticism often stems from a desire to maintain control and authority within the union hierarchy, rather than a genuine commitment to the welfare of its members.

Under protection of bystanding police, zionists violently attacked pro-Palestinian demonstrators at UCLA, drawing parallels to the IOF's protection of zionist settlers that attack Palestinian villages.
In contrast to the massive police presence seen at other universities, UCLA and city police were few in number, doing little to stop the provocateurs who shot fireworks and assaulted those calling for an end to genocide.
Whether it is evacuation notices, a heavy militarized and repressive police force, shutting down WiFi and water (such as at University of Minnesota), or shutting down community pantries and gates to starve student protestors (at CUNY and Columbia) as collective punishment, the parallels between the methods of oppression in the US and zionist entity are as clear as day.
Despite the repression at UCLA, students are holding the line, rebuilding barricades, and standing steadfast in their encampment.

The USA is once again showing its weakness through the brutal oppression of students who have occupied campuses across the country.
The use of counter-protest gangs to violently attack students is a timely tactic to manipulate useful idiots into doing the dirty work, after which the heavily militarized police mop up and make arrests.
The USA's, as well as the UK's, support of Israel and the genocide it is committing in Palestine is proving unshakable due to Israel's strategic importance as a vital component of Western hegemony. Their heavy-handed approach is steeped in the understanding that they have built a house of cards that the workers are more than capable of knocking down.
As Mao said,

'All reactionaries are paper tigers. In appearance, reactionaries are terrifying, but in reality, they are not so powerful. From a long-term point of view, it is not the reactionaries but the people who are really powerful.'
