On May 2, 2014, the Odessa Massacre became a turning point in the Ukrainian crisis after the Maidan. Local peaceful protesters challenged what they perceived as a regime change and perished in the process. The official death toll was 48, whereas the unofficial numbers exceeded 100.
During the clashes with the pro-Maidan ultra-nationalists, the anti-Maidan activists ended up trapped in the House of Trade Unions which was then set on fire likely by their radical opponents. There is plenty of footage of those wrapped in Ukrainian flags making Molotov cocktails. These radicals then blocked the exits of the building. Whereas some victims died from their burns and smoke inhalation, others were shot or attacked and killed as they jumped out of the burning building.
As for the perpetrators, justice was never fully served.
The sheer brutality of this massacre was one of the reasons why the protest wave against the regime change in Ukraine died down in traditionally Russophone cities.

Novara media trying to do a hit job on Galloway about gay rights is ridiculous when you consider that the likes of Ash Sarkar have supported the sterilisation and castration of lesbian and gay children and called it "liberation". These hypocrites cheered on some very anti gay policies in the name of their embrace of gender ideology so for them to now try to frame Galloway as the villain is laughable. There are many critiques to be made of Galloway but none of them can be made by this collection of establishment stooges who masquerade as "radicals" and who have never met a cause they wouldn't sell out in a heartbeat.

This is the moment Workers Party of Britain activists were mown down yesterday during elections in St Peters Ward, Tameside. Our members have peacefully and tirelessly served their communities. Our peaceful political revival has been met with violence.
Solidarity with our brothers and sisters. We pray their wounds will heal and wish them a speedy recovery. But we will not forget this day. We will pursue not vengeance, but justice, relentlessly.

Paper candidates, often fielded by political parties simply to fill a ballot without any genuine intention of winning, underscore the flaws in a system designed to perpetuate British capitalism. For working-class voters who still believe parliament can enact changes for the good of the people, these candidates offer no real representation or hope for change. Workers deserve genuine representation in any system, one that will act on their behalf and challenge the structures upholding inequality, rather than reinforcing them with empty gestures.
Paper candidates are just one of the many issues plaguing the cesspit of British electoral politics—a system tailored to serve the ruling classes rather than the workers.
It's time to demand revolutionary change that authentically empowers the voices of the working class.

Emergency protests for Palestine student protestors who are being criminalised in London today
From the outset, our skepticism of Sharon Graham was palpable. Despite her middle-of-the-road approach during the campaign, she skillfully masked it with fiery left-wing rhetoric, appealing to the masses with promises of change. However, as time passes, the facade is beginning to crack, unveiling her true nature as yet another power-hungry bureaucrat, more concerned with consolidating her own influence than enacting meaningful change.
