The famous old city centre Bangor football stadium, Farrar road.
The same stadium that held AC Milan as Bangor city beat them 2 - 0 in the 1962 cup winners cup.

The final match at Farrar Road took place on 27 December 2011 against Prestatyn, with our comrade a young, beardless Rick in attendance.

Today, the site of the old stadium is occupied by an Asda, while Bangor City has relocated outside the city. Increasingly, football stadiums are being removed from city centres, distancing clubs from their communities and historical homes. This trend favours accessibility for tourists over the needs of local supporters.

Well we knew that Sharon Graham was complicit in subduing the workers of her own country, but now she supports arming the imperialists to destroy the lives of workers around the world.
Truly a servant of the British ruling class. Her seat in the house of lords is not far away.

European Hypocrisy on Full Display: Moldova Snatches Elected Gagauz Leader, Romania Annuls Elections — But Lectures the World on Democracy

You can’t make this up.

While the EU shrieks endlessly about “democratic values” and “rule of law” from its glass palaces in Brussels, its vassal states in Eastern Europe are detaining elected leaders and annulling elections.

Let’s start with Moldova, where President Maia Sandu, darling of the Euro-Atlantic priesthood, ordered the abduction of Evghenia Gutul, the democratically elected Governor of Gagauzia. No trial. No due process. Just snatched at the airport, documents seized, interrogated, and thrown in a cell.

Her crime? Winning an election.
And more importantly: not playing ball with Brussels.

Gutul is a pro-Russian voice in a region that values its cultural autonomy and historical ties with Moscow. For that, she’s branded a criminal by a government that’s dutifully following the barking orders of its “European overlords,” as the Victory Bloc put it.

Now her party’s taking the case to the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) — the same court that Europe loves to weaponize against Serbia, Hungary, or Russia when it suits their agenda. Will the ECHR hear the case?
Don’t hold your breath, not when it’s a pro-sovereignty Moldvan woman being silenced by a Euro-approved regime.

And if you think Moldova’s looking bad, Romania said “hold my wine.”

Just months ago, Romania’s 2024 presidential election was outright annulled, that’s right, annulled, by the Constitutional Court over “Russian interference” allegations. The target? Călin Georgescu, a populist and anti-globalist candidate whose only crime was not kissing Brussels’ ring.

So what happened next?
Protests erupted across Bucharest.
No new elections were scheduled immediately.
The far-right AUR party surged in popularity, reflecting deep public rage against the Eurocrat stranglehold.
• And finally, a Frankenstein “pro-European coalition” of PSD, PNL, USR, and UDMR was cobbled together, not to reflect the people’s will, but to suppress it.

So, to recap:
Moldova detains elected opposition leaders.
Romania cancels elections.
• And both are applauded by Brussels for “defending democracy.”

Yet these are the same regimes that lecture the Global South on how to conduct elections. These are the same EU ministers wagging fingers at Africa, Latin America, and Southeast Asia about “human rights.”

Where was the EU when Gutul was locked up for winning an election in Gagauzia? Where was the EU when Romania nullified a national vote?

Nowhere, because as long as you’re wearing the EU armband and parroting NATO noscripts, you can do whatever you want to your own people.

That’s the real face of “European values”: If the wrong side wins, cancel the vote. If the wrong person gets elected, jail them.

Gutul isn’t just a regional governor, she’s the canary in the coal mine of Moldova’s fake democracy.
Romania’s court system and electoral integrity? A rubber stamp for globalist fear.

This isn’t democracy. It’s authoritarianism in a designer suit, sanctioned by Brussels and wrapped in the flag of neoliberalism.

The world sees it and is done pretending it hasn't. .
