When the United States, Israel or their proxies, bomb civilians, it’s always called “unfortunate but necessary.”
When any nation outside the imperial orbit dares to defend itself or act independently, it’s immediately branded a “war crime.”
This is the hypocrisy of imperialism, the so-called “rules-based international order” only applies when it serves Western interests.
The same governments that have flattened countries from Iraq to Libya, armed apartheid regimes, and sanctioned entire populations to death suddenly discover “international law” when China, Russia or Palestine are mentioned.
There are no “good bombs” or “humanitarian invasions.”
There’s only power, profit, and propaganda — and the working class of every nation pays the price for it.

Trigger-happy police on our streets is one more repressive move by the state we can expect to see being justified by the ‘threat of islamic terrorism’ – a threat that the British imperialists themselves have created, and now use as a pretext for cracking down on all domestic dissent.

The Manchester synagogue attack serves the forces of division
This attack comes at a time when the ruling class is working hard to create and deepen ethnic and religious antagonisms between workers at home and abroad.
In the North of Liverpool, the land that the council forgot, more buildings are falling into disrepair and crumbling in plain sight.

This isn't in the 1800s, or even the 1980s — this is 2025. Liverpool is celebrated as a flourishing city: a magnet for tourists, music lovers, football fans, shoppers, night-outers. Millions of pounds pour into the city every day, yet where does it go? Certainly not into the maintenance of working-class neighbourhoods or the homes of native workers.
We’ve written about this before. Houses in Anfield and Walton collapsing are nothing new and abandoned, or desolate streets are seen all over the city the so-called “regeneration” schemes that never seem to regenerate anything for those who live here. This hasn’t just started. It’s been happening for years, while the same councillors make the same empty promises and the same developers cash in.
Just yards from a stadium where millionaire players train and perform, whole houses are decaying. Walls crack, roofs fall in, windows shatter — silent reminders of how wealth and neglect can live side by side.
Liverpool City Council has been under a long shadow of corruption investigations. Accusations of bribery, misconduct in public office, and dodgy contract awards have long been a constant occurrence under Liverpool Labour.
In March 2025, the Crown Prosecution Service authorised charges against 12 people tied to alleged wrongdoing in Liverpool’s local government. Among them is Joe Anderson, former mayor (not to be confused with current Mayor Jo Anderson), now charged with bribery, misconduct and conspiracy, alongside ex-deputy leader Dodgy Derek Hatton and several council officials and developers implicated in contract scandals. Corruption was so rife that the previous Tory government had to send in their own commissioner and an investigation by the well known local council administrator Max Caller (see Max Caller Report)
Back in 2021, investigators warned Liverpool may have “squandered up to £100 million of public money” through corrupt deals and mismanagement.
And yet, as Everton’s new £760 million stadium rises proudly over Bramley-Moore Dock, backed by government loans and council support, while the streets surrounding the previous Everton Stadium, Goodison Park, in North Liverpool are collapsing. That’s the reality of the Merseyside “renaissance”: luxury developments for investors, grand projects for developers, and nothing but empty promises for the working class who’ve lived here all their lives.
The brutal truth is that the council tax rises constantly, but rotting streets and collapsing houses remain unchanged.
Wealth gushes into corporate projects and stadium spectacles, but not into the homes of ordinary people.
Politicians calling for your vote are embroiled in corruption probes, as millions slip through cracks you don’t even see.
This is the success story capitalism wants you to applaud: massive profiteering, gleaming landmarks, and the working class left to live on the margins, or in the rubble.
Liverpool’s working class built this city. Now they have to watch it fall down around them.

The British state has a long history of carrying out false flag attacks or exploiting them. The history of the occupied six counties show that clearly.

The ECHR Debate: A Populist Distraction.
Both the Tories and Labour are climbing the same hill, withdrawal, or Labour's softening on the European Convention on Human Rights. The Tories say scrap it altogether and Labour says “reinterpret” it. Different wording for the same idea: strip rights, increased deportations, and look hard for the cameras.
But the truth is Britain can’t and won’t stop immigration. Capitalism depends on a large labour pool. Hospitals, logistics, farms, factories, all rely on migrant labour to supplement the native labour market. When free movement ended, we didn’t get “British jobs for British workers”, the capitalists just turned their attention to another group of workers to exploit.
So if migration can’t stop, what’s the point of this debate about the EVHR? Simple. By gutting protections, they create layers of exploitable workers. Labour aristocracy at the top, “legal but disposable” migrants in the middle, and a rightless underclass at the bottom. The capitalists create a pool of people too scared to speak out for fear of repercussions, and the state gets its tough stance in the headlines.
It’s the oldest trick in the capitalist playbook. Divide workers by passport, by colour, by paperwork, then grind everyone down together. The ECHR row isn’t about sovereignty. It’s about control.
The working class didn’t write these laws, but we’ll be the ones suffering under them.

Being an elected representative in this period of decaying capitalism requires you to be as thick as pig shit and totally corrupt at the same time.
It’s great news that the #SellBeforeWeDai campaign has succeeded in securing new owners for Reading FC before the club was completely sold off for parts.
https://wokingham.today/sold-before-we-daid-final-statement-from-reading-fc-campaign-group/
This shows the strength of a unified fan base — and more than that, what a united working class can achieve when it refuses to give in. The Reading fans fought hard, stayed organised, and forced change. That’s a victory.
But it’s only one battle. As long as football clubs remain trapped in this capitalist model of ownership, the same crises will repeat. Fans will always be left cleaning up after profit-hungry owners.
In future the next step is clear: fight for fan ownership. Kick out those who profit from the labour of the players, staff, and supporters — and build clubs run by those who truly belong to them.

Arsenal sack kit man for supporting Palestine
Former Arsenal kit coordinator Mark Bonnick has launched legal action against the club after being dismissed for expressing solidarity with Palestine on social media.
Bonnick, who worked with Arsenal’s first-team staff and players for a number of years, reportedly shared pro-Palestine posts last year, including images calling for an end to the genocide in Gaza. A seemingly decent thing for someone with a conscience to say but within weeks, he was suspended, and shortly after, sacked. He’s now suing for unfair dismissal and discrimination and rightly so.
He made no threats, no abuse, nor was there any support of so-called "extremism" that people are often accused of, he just publicly professed his sympathy for a people being bombed and starved to death. His club Arsenal’s response? They sack him and take away his wage just for being a decent human.
This isn’t isolated. Celtic fans were banned for Palestinian flags and the club was previously fined, and Gary Lineker was censured by the BBC for mild criticism of government cruelty, yet pundits and players regularly make political gestures when it suits imperialist narratives.
Ukraine badges, anti-Russian slogans, kneeling before the whistle or support for “the troops” are welcomed, even encouraged; solidarity with Palestine or criticism of Israel is penalised.
It’s a pattern of selective morality that mirrors the state’s line — dissent is tolerated only when it reinforces imperial power.
In football, as in every workplace, it’s clear: you can speak freely, as long as you say what capital wants to hear.

Serbia's Acquisition of PULS Systems and Hermes 900 UAVs from Israel
Serbia ordered 1,000 kamikaze drones from Iran in 2023. In 2025, it made significant purchases from Israel's Elbit Systems: a $335 million rocket and drone deal in January, and a $1.6 billion PULS (Precise and Universal Launching System) multiple launch rocket system in August.
This autonomous platform is designed for precision strikes with a range of up to 300 km and can fire various rocket types.
Since 2023, arms trade between Serbia and Israel has surged over 3,000%, making Serbia one of Israel’s key wartime suppliers—even under EU pressure to halt exports.
“We will not stop helping Israel,” President Vučić said, defending the deals as “strategic, not political.”
Belgrade Demonstration
The new systems were first displayed publicly at the "Power of Unity" military parade in Belgrade on September 20, 2025; the Hermes 900 UAVs and PULS launchers were among the most prominent.
So, why is Serbia—described by Vučić as a "small Balkan country"—buying so many weapons?
