Public transit workers on strike in Germany — buses, subways, and trams are all immobilized.

Local media writes that over 90K people took part in more than 80 cities.

They demand employers shorten the working day, increase the rest period between shifts and the number of vacation days, or increase the amount of vacation pay.

Mick Lynch has been all over social media again after another one of his rousing speeches at the London Palestine demonstration. In this speech he once again spoke about fighting the Tories and holding MP's to account. He inconspicuously left out Labour in his oration. This should be galling to all as Labour has just as much of a stake in Israel as The Conservatives, but not to Lynch.
Labour's fortunes are intrinsically linked to Lynch's own after he tied his flag to Starmers mast not too long ago. Firmly placing him as the states controlled opposition.

Here's an article we wrote some time ago denouncing Lynch.

"Common sense" was an expression that Plato (via the character of Socrates) mocked mercilessly in ' The Republic'. He did so because he saw, in an idealist way, that what seemed "obvious" to us was very often completely false. If the (famous) analogy of the cave those who dwell at the bottom seeing shadows cast on the wall believe that to be a correct perception of how the world is. Therefore, those who say they are for "common sense socialism" must answer the question, who has decided what is "common sense"? The social democrats of today will then cite an opinion poll that shows how 75% of the British population believes that the railways should be nationalised as evidence of such "common sense" or some other popular measure that all of the bourgeois parties at the moment refuse to take up. What this won't tell you though is first of all the true reason why the bourgeois parties won't do it or why the British ruling class were ready to stage a coup to prevent even the mild social democracy of Corbyn being enacted. Nor will getting a social democratic party elected mean that a social democratic programme will stand a chance of making it through "His Majesties Government" into legislation. The problem with all of the "common sense" socialists out there is that they don't understand the moment we are in, nor do they grasp why the ruling class opposition to reform is so militant and unyielding. They, like all reformists, tail end trade union consciousness and call that "common sense". Communists approach this differently, we are not afraid of explaining to the working class the difficulty of our situation because we know that the proletariat has great reserves of energy, creativity and heroism that can be marshalled and must be if we are to succeed. A social democrat is a bureaucratic reformer, who sees the proletariat as nothing but voting fodder. We see the proletariat as the future rulers of this country and the world.

UK steps up war on whistleblower journalism with new National Security Act

Under a repressive new act, British nationals could face prison for undermining London’s national security line. Intended to destroy WikiLeaks and others exposing war crimes, the law is a direct threat to critical national security journalism.
