That someone like Lee Anderson can seamlessly transition from Labour to Conservative to Reform UK within just six years demonstrates how little material difference there really is between the bourgeois political parties.

Fierce and violent protests broke out in central Athens, Greece, after the parliament approved a highly unpopular university privatization reform. This decision ignored months of widespread protests nationwide, which had been escalating in tension.

Over 30,000 students and activists protested during the vote, calling for public and free education. Under the leadership of right-wing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis, Greece allocates only 3%-4% of its GDP to education, below the EU average.

Intense clashes occurred between the students, who carried red flags, and the police, who responded with tear gas and batons, resulting in serious injuries. Videos also captured the use of Molotov cocktails and explosives against police forces. Several people were arrested.

Protesters criticized the new education law as an "assault" on public education. PM Mitsotakis claimed the reform was intended to combat "brain drain," referring to the emigration of highly skilled individuals.

🇬🇧🇦🇪🇮🇱British Petroleum (BP) and Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) have decided to postpone their entry into the Israeli gas market citing uncertainties in the region.

The decision comes as the British and Emirati companies had expressed interest in acquiring Israeli assets, particularly a 50% stake in NewMed Energy for $2 billion. Talks regarding the potential acquisition were initiated in March 2023, aiming to establish a joint venture that would grant access to gas-rich areas in the eastern Mediterranean and Israel's energy sector. BP had also hinted at the possibility of further acquisitions in the region beyond the NewMed Energy deal.

However, amidst ongoing regional conflicts, including the war in Gaza and skirmishes along the Israel-Lebanon border, both companies have opted to shelve the proposal until the geopolitical situation stabilizes. Despite the postponement, BP and ADNOC affirm their continued interest in pursuing the deal when conditions become more favorable.

Under the new definition, which comes into force on Thursday, extremism is "the promotion or advancement of an ideology based on violence, hatred or intolerance, that aims to:

1. negate or destroy the fundamental rights and freedoms of others; or

2. undermine, overturn or replace the UK's system of liberal parliamentary democracy and democratic rights; or

3. intentionally create a permissive environment for others to achieve the results in (1) or (2).

Think about this. They are not planning to outlaw wage slavery. They ate acting on behalf of the wage lords to preserve our exploitation. And anyone who threatens their two-party and mainstream media duopoly will be the target.

The only real freedom that our political and business ruling class respects is the right to exploit wage labour.

Therefore “negate or destroy the fundamental rights and freedoms of others” means: ANYONE WHO SPEAKS OUT AGAINST THE RIGHT OF THE BRITISH BILLIONAIRE CAPITALIST ELITE TO EXPLOIT WORKERS OF ALL NATIONS. Anyone who speaks out against their wars, their proxy war on Russia or drive to war with China, and of course anyone who speaks out against their zionist genocide in Palestine.

There is only one response that the working masses can give: increase your political action, your firm resolve, education organisation and preparedness.

The system of wage slavery must be overthrown.

Sanctions are weapons of war. They starve & destroy. 60% of people relying on humanitarian aid are in countries under sanction. Most need it because of them. Most of the world condemns sanctions. Instead of stopping, the EU criminalises those who dare to fail to comply with them.
