Did you know the Indiana Law had to be created to allow for public comment in the public school board meetings? EVANSVILLE VANDERBURGH School Corporation was the reason for the law being created in the State of Indiana. The EVSC trustees were the most egregious in suppressing public comment.
But wait, it gets better. Since the law was enacted, EVSC allows 2 minutes of comment. 1) You must complete an “online request” to speak 24 hours prior to the meeting. 2) Comments are restricted to the board meetings agenda item(s) only. 3) The Board will not comment or respond to questions. 4) The School Attorney, Patrick Shoulders, during the comment section of the meeting, instructs for all online videoing and minutes of comments be stricken. 5) Superintendent Smith, the following day, does a YouTube video of the “recap” of the board meeting.
Interestingly the synopsis provided by Superintendent Smith, is a completely different board meeting observation, he NEVER mentions the public comment portion of the meeting. Many times the public comments are critical of the School Administrations policies, wasteful spending, social emotional learning agenda, manipulation of grades to comply with the State of Indiana’s regulatory requirements. Did you know a failing school system receives less funding. Let it be known, EVSC is manipulating the I-Learn scores to deceive the public and State regulators to hide the sub-standard educational standards occurring at EVSC.

- The Evansville Regional Economic Partnership held their 3rd Annual Meeting and Dinner Thursday night at the Ford Center.
At the end of the night, a special announcement was made about E-REP’s future.
It was announced that Mayor Lloyd Winnecke will become their CEO when his term is over in January.
E-REP is one of the regional partnerships in Indiana created to circumvent representative government oversight. The individuals serving on the NGO, are also elected officials, in SW Indiana, it includes Cheryl Musgrave, VANDERBURGH County Commissioner and Evansville Mayor Lloyd Winnecke.
