Agree with this alot & alot of people have wrong expectations. I was a complete n00b in 2017 (what does marketcap mean?, etc) and I was quite decent as the 2021 cycle proceeded. Right now I am probably one of the top5% participants in those markets.
I kept like 6,5x in last cycle right now.

If you currently only have something like 10k in crypto this means you either absolutely butchered the prior cycles or you are quite new.
Looking at the first scenario why should it be different this time and looking at the 2nd scenario do you think you can outperform a quite decent version of me in a cycle which will arguably have less returns than the last one?!

On paper things look very very easy but in reality things are not. If you look at your crypto balance today and we forward 3 years and you sitting on 10x that in peak bear you probably had a top1% performance all things considered.

Lots of yadayada but very very hard to retire from 1 cycle. Certainly possible but the guys who do usually either got insanely lucky with one or two trades or were incredibly high IQ to begin with.

Just look at somebody like AlexWice. Guys is incredibly high IQ, went to 9figures and is sitting now on low 7fig most likely. He made 2 mistakes last cycle by being abit too bullish and trusting FTX abit to much. This resulted basically in a 95%++ drawdown and a full roundtrip. And as being said this guy likely has 20++ more IQ points than most people reading here no offence. Sure, even with low 7 figs you have a quite comfy life but it's still a massive difference if you couldve instantly retired 3 generations after you or just living comfy

Again long story short it's very very hard work to even keep something like 10x from today and very few people will be able to do it

🧐🧐 the peoples Bitcoin:

this thing got a good bid and alot of attention last 2 days again. good chunk of early whales exiting/derisking hence we havent broken out yet.

Personally I think this has very good chance to run up to around 1usd over the coming weeks/months which would be a 6x from here. My avg is around 0.06 - was in quite early, took profits, rebought etc.

I also think that in a full fledged bull this has the chance to do a shib like run to 10b which would be a 50x+ from here. Very long shot I know and abit delusional but in the world we live in I think we will get there more than 2% of the time which would make this a +EV punt.

1b mcap = fairly likely
10b mcap = fairly unlikely but not impossible

I will start taking profits 250m 500m 1b fully flat OR will be fully flat once Binance lists this. But I think Binance listing will only come if around 1b anyways.

Once there would be another massive correction which will defo come I would fill up for the 10b lottery ticket and just sit on it.

Since people always ask for moonshots this is one of my favorite candidates. Extremely risky but also don't need to put alot of % to print nicely if a big run materializes. I definitely think market is stupid enough for this coin🙏🏽☠️

2 years ago i bought my Dubai pad around 2-3months after arriving in Dubai.

- saved 100-125k in paying rent (arguably if rent i wouldve gotten something cheaper)
- made 150-200k due to increased value (lucky timing)
- made around 30k in rent when I am not in Dubai (usually if you rent yourself they wont let you sublet it to somebody else)

Moral of the story & I know thats easier said than done: if you can afford to own then just buy property. All this stuff adds up over time.
If you are alone & live in sick 2br pad for rent ask yourself if you don't want to downgrade to a studio or 1br that you own. In a couple of years you'll likely be back in a 2br you own if you really want to.

Personally between ages 28 to 36 I would always be living in sick 2 or 3br penthouses & apartments for rent. Since 2020 I "downgraded" to supernice 1brs that I own.

Still blows my mind how much money I wasted on rent over all those years mostly because of ego😩 owning a 40m2 studio with 32 is a much bigger flex than making the landlord of a 3br penthouse moar rich🙃

👀👀 since there have been some comments:

yes, real estate is likely not the fastest horse so if you are looking to profit maximize you might even skip it entirely. Personally after a certain number i think though diversification way moar important than maximizing EV. I want to be set no matter what happens and not being dependand on only 1 or 2 asset classes.
Also having different uncorrelated income streams always helps. When covid came my rental yields crashed 25% while poker and crypto was popping off.

Overall RE is alot more stable than crypto or even stonks. And needless to say it's important WHERE you buy (hint: demographics) and WHEN you buy. But this isnt different with crypto either you dont wanna buy too high...

Also I think there is also the exception when you buy to live there yourself great price for me isnt that important. More important is I 100% like the unit. If you buy in a good market with good demand I don't see how you would end up better renting a unit over a 10year period compared to owning it and it also gives you some diversification.

Also with real estate you could retire yourself fairly quickly even for managable amounts.
For instance in Manila you could get 5 studios in top area for 500-600k. You move into 1 yourself and rent out 4. Should net you 2-2.5k usd after tax and expenses per year. 2.5k net probably puts u in top10% bracket even in high income Manila neighbourhoods. Won't live like a king for this but also wont have any issues. If you do this couple km outside the city center probably can do same for half the price. Obviously this will not work in most 1st world countries.

I just like having stable income through rentals which grows over time. Very little swings compared to other markets and I also enjoy the entire process of real estate.

So far whenever I bought real estate those buys are basically to never sell and just live of the rent. I never went into a deal thinking ohhwell i will flip this in 3 years for 25%. Not in the market for this kinda stuff bc I can do this via crypto much better.
