Expanding Our Insurance Offer Across Europe

Customers who live in the following countries have access to insurance: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, and United Kingdom.

Customers, from the countries listed above, who signed up or upgraded to Curve Black on 24 February and onwards will now get enhanced travel insurance. If you signed up before that […], you will have standard travel insurance, in addition to mobile and gadget insurance.

We’re still working on merging the current subnoscription tier with our new policy changes.

Curve Metal customers who signed up or upgraded on 24 February and onwards will have enhanced travel insurance, car rental collision damage waiver, and mobile insurance. UK Customers who signed up before that also have gadget insurance.

Curve Product Update April 2020

This is a short recap on what we are working on, what we have planned, and challenges we might have encountered. We’ll post the update every second Tuesday of the month 🎉

CURRENT PROJECTS:
1. Card Details in-app
The days where you have to look for your physical wallet will be gone. In the app, you’ll be able to see you full card number aka PAN, expiry date, and CVV.

2. Decline Reason
The work continues by sending you proactive messages. Some examples:
Your funding card is about to expire
Your Curve card hasn’t been activated
Your limits have nearly been reached


3. Curve Fronted
Curve Fronted will be expanded. You can read more about this in the coming weeks.

4. AXA Insurance
The insurance offer has been expanded from 7 countries to 29!

Our Exchange Rate Display Issue

Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. Tying the existing threads and conversations into one so it will be easier to discuss it and update you in one place.

Exchange rate incorrect - The app shows an incorrect FX rate if a fee has been applied. Next steps are creating and deploying a fix. It will be a part of the sprint in the coming month.

Curve showing very misleading exchange rates - The app is currently assuming that there will be a £2 fee when using an ATM and the base currency is GBP. The FX rate displayed in the app is wrong, even though the FX rate actually used for the transaction is correct.

Curve and its “mid-market” exchange rate - There’s also a display issue when weekend fees have been applied. The exchange fee that was applied has been correct.

If you have any doubt about the exchange of your transactions, please do not hesitate to write to our Customer Experience team at support@curve.com and we’ll look into them for you and settle any wrongly charged fee, if there is any.
