After yesterday's bipartisan statement from Democrats and Republicans on the Senate Armed Services Committee, calling for “vigorous oversight” over recent reports about possible illegal strikes on alleged narco-trafficking vessels in the Southern Caribbean. The House Armed Services Committee has now issued their own joint statement from Chairman Mike Rogers (R-AL) and Ranking Member Adam Smith (D-WA), stating that they take the reports seriously, and are committed to providing “rigorous oversight of the Department of Defense’s military operations in the Caribbean,” adding that they will be taking “bipartisan action to gather a full accounting of the operation in question.”

Following a call last week between President Donald J. Trump and Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, in which Trump reportedly urged Maduro to step down or face potential military action from the United States. Maduro and his associates have continued to reach out to the White House through a number of channels, with ongoing discussions about what future communication between the two countries might look like, multiple administration officials told CNN.

Earlier this morning, the Israeli Air Force targeted and struck a group of four militants, suspected of being terror operatives of Hamas, who had exited a tunnel in the eastern part of Rafah, Southern Gaza - which is currently occupied by Israeli Forces - with it believed that among the fighters was the commander and deputy commander of Hamas’s East Rafah Battalion.

Germany will officially unveil and deploy the Israeli-supplied “Arrow-3” Exoatmospheric Anti-Ballistic Missile System later this week, according to The Jerusalem Post, in what will be the first ever deployment of the surface-to-air missile system outside of Israel. The Arrow-2/3 has significantly proved itself in combat over the last year, being heavily used to intercept hundreds of missiles fired against Israel by Iran during the Israel-Iran War, as well as by the Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen.

The Panamanian-flagged and Turkish-owned oil tanker, M/T MERSIN, alleged to be affiliated with the Russian Shadow Fleet, is currently sinking off the coast of Dakar, Senegal in Western Africa, after reportedly coming under attack overnight by several uncrewed surface vessels, in possibly the third attack in the last week by Ukrainian Intelligence Services against a tanker linked to Russia.

Despite poor weather conditions, thousands of people, some holding flags of Lebanon and the Vatican, lined the streets of Beirut tonight to greet and witness the arrival of Pope Leo XIV, in his first foreign trip and visit to Lebanon since assuming the papacy in May.

U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated that today’s meeting in Miami between American and Ukrainian negotiators was “quite productive,” with additional progress being made towards a peace settlement, though he added, “we still have work to do” while stating that there is still another side to consider, that being Russia.

Today’s meeting was the first to occur since the forced resignation this week of Andriy Yermak, the Former Head of Ukraine’s Office of the President and apparent lead negotiator with the United States, over allegations of corruption within the Government of Ukraine. - Oleksandr Bevz, Adviser of the Cabinet of the Office of the President of Ukraine

On the other side, the American delegation consisted of Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Special Envoy Steve Witkoff, and President Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner.

U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a statement today that between the dates of November 24-27, American military forces under Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolved (CJTF-OIR), in coordination with elements under the Syrian Ministry of the Interior, located and destroyed more than fifteen sites containing ISIS weapons caches in the Rif Dimashq Governorate of Southern Syria. The destruction of these sites, carried out via multiple airstrikes and ground detonations, destroyed over 130 mortars and rockets, multiple assault rifles, machine guns, anti-tank mines, and materials for building improvised explosive devices, as well as illicit drugs sold by ISIS.

An unusual sight this morning, with a U.S. Navy MQ-4C “Triton” High-Altitude Surveillance Drone going by the callsign BLKCAT5, possibly assigned to Unmanned Patrol Squadron ONE NINE (VUP-19), having departed Naval Station Mayport in Florida, currently heading southwest over the Gulf of America.
