The Government of Cuba has announced that 32 Cubans were killed in the recent military operation by the United States to capture Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, most of which were likely part of the security team protecting Maduro. Two days of mourning have been declared across Cuba.

Two people close to the White House told the Washington Post that Machado’s acceptance of the prize was an “ultimate sin” to President Trump, despite her having dedicated the award to Trump and time against having complimented his work towards Venezuela. “If she had turned it down and said, ‘I can’t accept it because it’s Donald Trump’s,’ she’d be the president of Venezuela today.”

Walz has served two consecutive terms as Governor of Minnesota, in addition to a recent failed bid for vice-president during the 2024 U.S. Presidential Election.

The Chinese are continuing to expand their military presence on artificial islands in the South China Sea, with construction efforts appearing to be underway on Antelope Reef in the Paracel Islands, which sits roughly 140NM from the coast of China’s Hainan Province.

One suspect is in custody following an incident which resulted in several windows being broken earlier this morning at the home of Vice President JD Vance in Cincinnati, Ohio. According to the U.S. Secret Service, agents assigned to Vance’s Protective Detail “physically detained” a man on the property shortly after midnight Monday after damage was detected to the home, with him being turned over the Cincinnati Police Department. At the time of the incident, Vance and his family were not home or even in Ohio.

DEA Agents lead Former Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro onto a helicopter this morning after leaving the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Brooklyn, on the way to his first court appearance before Judge Alvin K. Hellerstein at the U.S. District Court in Manhattan.
