The Commander of the Israeli Navy, Vice Admiral David Saar Salama attended a Ceremony today at the ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems’ Shipyard in Kiel, Germany where the next Dolphin 2-Class Submarine of the Israeli Navy is being built. During the Ceremony, the Submarine received its Official Name, “INS Drakon” or Dragon, which is expected to be the most Advanced Submarine operated by Israel; with it said to be slated to begin Active Service sometime in 2025.
