Suleiman Hilal al-Assad, a Cousin of Former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad who was known to lead several Pro-Assad Gangs dealing in Drugs and Weapons Smuggling, is claimed to have been Killed earlier today within the City of Latakia.

Several MiG-29s of the Syrian Air Force were claimed to have been destroyed yesterday, as a result of Strikes by the Israeli Air Force on Khalkhalah Air Base in the Suwayda Governorate.

After earlier reports of extensive IDF strikes on the Syrian port city of Latakia, videos have now emerged showing heavy strikes against Syrian naval infrastructure and assets still in the port. These strikes are the latest in a rash of Israeli strikes to diminish and destroy the former regime’s military hardware.

According to AFP, Germany and France are ready to ‘cooperate’ on a conditional basis with the faction led by Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham, now in control of Syria’s seat of power in Damascus.

Earlier today, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky gave a recap of his meetings with U.S. President-Elect Donald J. Trump and French President Emmanuel Macron. One thing that was highlighted was Macron’s previously announced idea to send a multinational force to Ukraine to enforce a ceasefire. Since their meeting, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a statement acknowledging the calls for a ceasefire but reiterated that the conditions, as set out by Putin earlier this year, for Russia to come to the table have not changed. 

Lebanese Media is reporting that Israeli Tanks are currently advancing North along the Border between Syria and Lebanon, with them only roughly 10 Miles now from the Outskirts of the Syrian Capital of Damascus.

The Israel Defense Force has denied claims made by both Lebanese and Syrian Media, that Israeli Forces are advancing towards the Capital of Damascus in Southwestern Syria; with the IDF stating that Israeli Ground Forces are only operating within the “Buffer Zone” and at Key Defensive Points along the Syria-Israel Border.

The Israeli Navy has released Footage of their Large-Scale Operation yesterday, against Missile Boats and other Ships of the Syrian Navy at the Port of Latakia and Minet el-Beida Bay in Northwestern Syria. Six Osa-l as well as Six Osa-ll Missile Boats equipped with Sea-to-Sea Missiles were targeted; with Israeli Defense Minister Katz stating that the Syrian Navy in the Mediterranean has been Totally Destroyed.

The U.S-Backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have begun to withdraw from the West Bank of the Euphrates River and the City of Deir ez-Zor in Eastern Syria, following a Series of Protests over the last 48 hours by Anti-Kurdish and Pro-Turkish Actors in the Deir ez-Zor Governorate.

The head of U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) General Micheal E. Kurilla visited a number of U.S. bases in Syria today. During the visit, he spoke with U.S. commanders on the ground and members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and was given a briefing on the ongoing situation on the ground. After this, General Kurilla visited Baghdad, Iraq, and met with the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia’ al Sudani, Chief of Staff General Abdul Amir Rashid Yarallah, and Iraqi Joint Operations Deputy Commander General Qais al-Muhammadawai. General Kurilla also met the commander of the Combined Joint Task Force Operation Inherent Resolve (CJTF-OIR) Major General Kevin Leahy for an assessment of the ongoing Defeat ISIS (D-ISIS) mission. 

Earlier today, the Houthis claimed that they had attacked three U.S. warships. CENTCOM has now confirmed that while transiting the Gulf of Aden, two U.S. Navy Arleigh Burke-class destroyers, the USS O’Kane (DDG 77) and the USS Stockdale (DDG 106), detected and shot down a number of Houthi projectiles and drones during two separate engagements. The most recent one, which took place in the last 24 hours, involved the downing of “multiple”one-way attack uncrewed aerial systems (OWA UAS) and one anti-ship cruise missile (ASCM). During another engagement, which took place earlier between the 30th of November and the 1st of December, “the destroyers successfully defeated an Iran-backed Houthi attack.”
