The U.S. Department of the Treasury's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) has announced the first action in U.S. President Donald J. Trump’s “Maximum Pressure” campaign against Iran. Sanctions have been announced on the vast shipping network that sees millions of barrels of Iranian oil go to China. The shipments, brokered by the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff (AFGS), were facilitated by a number of front companies who will also be designated and sanctioned.

The sanctioned companies, vessels, and individuals that make up the wider Iran-China trade network come from a number of nations, including China, India, and the United Arab Emirates. Iran directly invests large amounts of its crude oil earnings, numbering in billions per year, into funding its armed forces and network of non-state actors in the region and abroad.

Since yesterday, the U.S. Coast Guard has been searching off the Western Coast of Mexico and Guatemala, for a still Unnamed Coast Guardsman who went missing recently from the Legend-Class National Security Cutter, USCGC Waesche (WMSL-751), while operating in the Eastern Pacific near the Mexico-Guatemala Border. A Federal Judge in Boston, Judge George O'Toole Jr. has blocked President Trump’s ongoing “Buyout” Program for Federal Employees, which had a Deadline of 11:59pm tonight, but has now been extended until at least a Court Hearing on Monday, when Judge O'Toole said he would hear Arguments regarding the Legality of the Buyouts.

The U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) has notified all Staff across the World, upwards of 10,000 Federal Employees, that they will be placed on Administrative Leave beginning Friday, February 7th at 11:59pm, with the exception of roughly 294 Essential Officials.
