Sergeant Durham was serving as an Electronic Intelligence/Electromagnetic Warfare Analyst assigned to the 1st Radio Battalion, I Marine Expeditionary Force Information Group, I Marine Expeditionary Force, and was assisting the Philippine Armed Forces with Counter-Terror Operations.
