The funeral for both of Lebanese Hezbollah’s (LH) former secretary-generals, Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine, is ongoing in Beirut, Lebanon. During the ongoing gathering in Beirut for the public funerals of Lebanese Hezbollah’s (LH) two former secretary generals, Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safieddine, Lebanese media outlets reported Israeli fighter jets flying low over the area. In a subsequent statement Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the sortie of Israeli Air Force (IAF) jets, in a message that cautioned any would be threat-actors against conducting any future actions to threaten Israel.

During a press conference earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky voiced his willingness to step down from his role as president should it bring about an immediate peace settlement. However, President Zelensky added that if peace is not guaranteed as a result of such a move, he would still be open to step down in exchange for NATO memberships guarantees.

The Department of Defense (DoD) has now released an official statement and response to last night’s email sent by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), under the direction Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), to all federal employees, noscriptd “What did you do last week.” The DoD has instructed all employees to not respond and/or pause any responses to the email, stating “The Department of Defense is responsible for reviewing the performance of its personnel and it will conduct any review in accordance with its own procedures.”
