Israel is reported to be lobbying the United States and the Trump Administration to keep Syria weak and decentralized following the fall of the Assad Regime, including allowing Russia to maintain its Naval and Airbases in the Country to counter Turkey and Turkish Influence within the incoming Syrian Government. Israel is said to have communicated these requests during recent meetings with Senior U.S. Officials in February, as well as to a Congressional Delegation which recently visited Israel.

Israel is threatening to launch a military operation in Syria, following several clashes between Syrian security forces and local gunmen over the last 48 hours in the city of Jaramana, only about a mile to the southeast of the Syrian capital of Damascus. As Phase 1 of the Ceasefire in Gaza expires, Israel has announced its approval of a Ceasefire Extension proposed by U.S. Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, which will extend the Ceasefire by at least 42 Days over the Ramadan and Passover Holidays.

According to the Office of the Prime Minister, the proposed Ceasefire Extension will included the release of half of the Live Hostages, and half of the Unalive Hostages on the First Day of the Ceasefire. Negotiations will be held during the 42 Days on a Permanent Ceasefire, which if agreed upon, will see the released of the remaining Hostages. 59 Hostages are believed to still be held in the Gaza Strip, of which 22 are believed to be Alive.

The Al-Jabal Brigade and the Sheikh al-Karama Forces, both Druze-majority militias operating in Southwestern Syria, are denying claims made earlier today by Israel that they were engaged with Syrian security forces in the city of Jaramana, near Damascus. Multiple Syrian security personnel have been killed and injured in the city during clashes with local gunmen over the last few days, with the Al-Jabal Brigade stating that these individuals will be held responsible.

A Senior Member of the Houthi Political Bureau, Hazam al-Assad, has told the Media following the expiration of the Ceasefire yesterday in Gaza, “If the war in Gaza resumes, we are ready to move towards an all-out war in which we will attack U.S. interests in the region, if it tries to protect the Zionist entity or support it in its aggression against our people in Gaza, or attack our country.”

Following his recent Visit to the U.S-Mexico Border, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth announced yesterday that he had ordered the deployment of roughly 3,000 additional Active-Duty Troops to the U.S. Southern Border, including Soldiers with the 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team based at Fort Carson, Colorado. A U.S. Defense Official later stated that around 2,400 Soldiers will be deployed from the Stryker Unit, while another 550 will be deployed from an Aviation Unit also ordered by Secretary Hegseth to the Border.

The spokesperson for the White House National Security Council Brian Hughes has told Barak Ravid of Axios that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to halt aid shipments into the Gaza Strip was backed by the Trump administration and that Hamas is “no longer interested in a negotiated ceasefire.”

The Strike, which was carried out on February 23rd, was executed by a U.S. Air Force MQ-9 “Reaper” Drone utilizing a R-9X “Flying Ginsu” Hellfire Missile, which utilizes Six Rotating-Blades instead of an Explosive Warhead in order to reduce Collateral Damage.
