Today’s test flight, similar to the one in December of 2024, was conducted over the city of Chengdu in the Sichuan Province of Western China, but unlike last time, today the J-36 was seen alone in the sky over the city; additionally the landing gear on the aircraft was retracted during today’s flight, unlike in December. A photo of the aircraft taking off was also captured, showing the afterburners on the 3 WS-10C turbofan engines believed to power the J-36.

Early reports indicate yet another Houthi attempt at targeting the Harry S. Truman carrier strike group (CSG). More to come as the situation develops.
Short Assessment:
As the U.S.-led strike campaign against Houthi military infrastructure and decision-makers continues, it’s highly likely that the tempo of Houthi attacks against U.S./coalition naval shipping in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden will continue and/or increase significantly.
End.

Israeli Minister of Defense Israel Katz’s first statement following tonight’s airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, “Tonight we returned to fighting in Gaza due to Hamas' refusal to release the kidnapped and threats to harm IDF soldiers and Israeli communities.
If Hamas does not release all the kidnapped, the gates of hell will open in Gaza and Hamas' murderers and rapists will meet the IDF with forces they have never known before.
