According to a release from U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) the Houthis are now seizing food stock from a World Food Program (WFP) warehouse in Saada, Yemen. The seizure of goods from this warehouse, which contains over 5,700,000 pounds of aid intended for Yemeni civilians, is the latest in a string of Houthi actions against the WFP and wider UN missions across areas controlled by the group. The Houthis have targeted and diverted WFP aid in the past, and have shown no qualms with illegally detaining WFP and other UN aid workers.

Houthi Foreign Minister Jamal Amer told Reuters during an interview on Monday, that they will not “dial down” attacks against Israeli shipping in the Red Sea in response to appeals from allies like Iran, adding that they are now at war with the United States and that “escalation is likely.” Amer further stated, “(The U.S.) is threatening Iran and hitting Yemen. Now all scenarios are possible. We will do what they will do to us. If they are hitting us from Truman, we will retaliate by hitting Truman,” before also threatening the Gulf States if they allow their bases to be used by the U.S. for strikes against Yemen.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz visited Tel Nof Airbase to the south of Tel-Aviv earlier today, meeting with pilots and ground crew from the 133rd Squadron who participated in last night’s strike operation against the Gaza Strip, dubbed Operation “Strength and Swords.” During his visit, Katz stated, “I congratulate the Air Force and the IDF on the unprecedented counter-terrorism operation last night in Gaza, which was carried out in accordance with the decision that the Prime Minister and I made with the consent of all security officials.
Hamas must understand that the rules of the game have changed and if it does not immediately release all the kidnapped men and women, the gates of hell will open and it will find the entire might of the IDF facing it in the air, at sea and on land, until its complete annihilation.

Chief Justice of the U.S. Supreme Court, John G. Roberts has issued a rare statement rebuking calls recently from President Donald J. Trump and his allies to impeach federal judges who have ruled against the Trump Administration, most recently District Judge James E. Boasberg who attempted to prevent the Administration from transferring roughly 200 criminal illegal migrants to prisons in El Salvador. “For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose,” Roberts said in his statement, adding “We do not have Obama judges or Trump judges, Bush judges or Clinton judges. What we have is an extraordinary group of dedicated judges doing their level best to do equal right to those appearing before them. Following an situational assessment tonight, the IDF Homefront Command has announced an easing of restrictions for communities in Southern Israel surrounding the Gaza Strip, moving from “Limited Activity” to “Partial Activity” allowing schools and other education activities if they are near a protected area.

After the Israel Defense Force (IDF) stated that they shot down a Houthi missile outside of Israeli territory, the Houthis have announced that they launched a Palestine 2 “hYpERsoNIc” missile at Israel earlier. According to their release, they were targeting the Nevatim Air Base. The missile never reached the target area.

Like the releases from the Kremlin, the two biggest points of note here are the tentative plan for a 30-day pause on Russian strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure and the negotiations surrounding commercial shipping in the Black Sea.
Quick note:
On the proposed 30-day pause to Russian missile and drone strikes on Ukrainian energy infrastructure: Its highly unlikely that Russia will move to implement such a pause should Ukraine refuse to mirror the move and pause strikes on Russia’s oil and gas infrastructure.
