A U.S. Navy MQ-4C “Triton” Surveillance Drone is currently patrolling the Persian Gulf, less than 20 miles off the coast of Iran’s outlying islands in the Hormozgan Province.

Red Alerts now all across Central Israel, following the launch of a long-range ballistic missile towards Israel by the Houthis in Yemen.

The Israel Defense Force has stated that following the sirens heard in Central Israel, a long-range ballistic missile launched from Yemen was intercepted outside of Israeli Airspace. “Arrow-3” exoatmospheric anti-ballistic missile interceptors were seen launching from near Tel-Aviv prior to the interception, likely over Jordan or Saudi Arabia.

While sirens sounded earlier across Israel due to the launch of a ballistic missile from Yemen, the Israeli Air Force was carrying out several waves of airstrikes on and around the city of Rafah in the Southern Gaza Strip.

Houthi statement on the launch against Israel is expected soon according to the spokesperson for their armed forces.

The Houthis have released a statement saying that they targeted Ben Gurion Airport in Israel with a Palestine 2 “hypersonic” ballistic missile. As reported earlier, this missile was shot down by the Israel Defense Force (IDF) before it reached Israeli airspace. Additionally, the Houthis claim to have targeted the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) and its Carrier Strike Group (CSG) with a “number of ballistic and cruise missiles, as well as drones.” At the time of writing, no interceptions by U.S. vessels has been confirmed.
