In an interview today with NBC News, U.S. President Donald J. Trump stood by his National Security Advisor Mike Waltz following yesterday’s article from The Atlantic, in which a journalist was accidentally added to a chat on Signal with Waltz and other officials discussing “War Plans” for strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, with Trump stating, “Michael Waltz has learned a lesson, and he’s a good man.” Adding that he believed the incident was a “non-issue” and did not affect the strikes in Yemen, calling the operation “perfectly successful.”

According to Politico, calls are now growing within the Trump White House for U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz to be removed following yesterday’s revealed intelligence breach in an article by The Atlantic, with one administration official stating, “It was reckless not to check who was on the thread. It was reckless to be having that conversation on Signal. You can’t have recklessness as the national security adviser,” while another official close to the White House is claimed to have said, “Everyone in the White House can agree on one thing: Mike Waltz is a fucking idiot.”

While testifying today in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, the Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard claimed, “There was no classified material that was shared in that Signal chat,” referencing yesterday’s article from The Atlantic. To which Vice-Chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee Mark Warner responds by telling her, if that’s the case to share the chat with the Committee.

After confirming to the Senate Intelligence Committee that he was the “John Ratcliffe” in the recent Signal group-chat with Jeffrey Goldberg, CIA Director Ratcliffe states, “Pre-decisional strike deliberations should be conducted through classified channels,” as Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard continues to claim that classified material about strikes against the Houthis in Yemen was not posted in the chat on Signal.

Following the arrival earlier today of 2 B-2 “Spirit” Long-Range Strategic Stealth Bombers, with the 509th Bomb Wing from Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri, at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean. Communications between the bombers and ground stations in San Fransisco have confirmed that another flight of 2-3 B-2s from Whiteman are currently crossing the Pacific Ocean destined for Diego Garcia. This is seeming like a much larger buildup than would be needed for strikes just against the Houthis in Yemen.

Towards the ends of today’s brief in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee, both CIA Director John Ratcliffe and Director of National Intelligence (DNI) Tulsi Gabbard stated that they were unaware of the DoD’s Policy on sharing even Controlled-Unclassified Information (CUI) on unsecured devices, while directing all further questions related to DoD Polices and whether information referenced in yesterday article by The Atlantic was declassified prior to being posted on Signal, to Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth.

During an interview tonight with Fox News, U.S. National Security Advisor Mike Waltz admits that he made the group-chat on Signal about the strikes against Yemen earlier this month which included Jeffrey Goldberg, but then proceeds to suggest that Goldberg somehow “snuck his way into the group” using someone else’s contact information, though he refuses to state who he believed was actually in the chat instead of Goldberg. I don't text him, he wasn't on my phone,” despite Signal requiring you to have a contact and/or number saved in order to add them to a group-chat; he then adds that he has spoken to Elon Musk and they have the best “technical minds” looking into how this happened, before going on to discuss the success of the strikes on Yemen.

According to both U.S. defense and intelligence officials, at the time the information regarding timing, targets and weapons systems, as well as other details about the strikes against the Houthis in Yemen, was posted in the group-chat on Signal by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, the information was being classified during briefings as (TOP SECRET//NOFORN).
