In an event earlier this week at Pyongyang International Airport, attended by Supreme-Leader Kim Jong Un, North Korea unveil its first ever airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, which appears to be based off the Russian A-50 “Mainstay” and Chinese KJ-2000 “Mainring” both of which utilize a modified version of Russia’s Ilyushin Il-76, the same as the North Korean AEW&C. The aircraft, which still has not received an officials name by North Korea, has been seen via satellite imagery being worked on at a maintenance hanger located at Pyongyang International since 2023; though it is based off an aircraft utilized by both Russia and China, it is not known how much help the two countries played in the development and construction of the North Korean AEW&C.

Search-and-recovery teams with the Lithuanian Army, as well as other NATO military personnel, are continuing to work day and night to recover the U.S. Army M88A2 “Hercules” Armored-Recovery Vehicle (ARV), alongside the bodies of 4 American Soldiers with the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT), 3rd Infantry Division, who sunk into a swamp during an training exercise on Tuesday in eastern Lithuania. Teams believe they have found the ARV roughly 16ft beneath the muddy water, though its recovery will likely require days of draining and digging into the swamp’s thick mud.

Despite over 12 days of continuous strikes by the U.S. Navy and Air Force on the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist group in western Yemen, the Houthis currently still maintain their capability to launch ballistic missiles at Israel, launching two missiles earlier today at Tel-Aviv which were downed by Israeli “Arrow-3” exoatmospheric anti-ballistic missile interceptors over Jordan.
