High-rise buildings shake and under construction skyscrapers collapse in the Thai capital of Bangkok, following a massive 7.7 magnitude earthquake earlier which struck the border between Myanmar and Thailand. There is no word yet on casualties or further damage to countries in Southeast Asia, though the threat of a tsunami is determined to be low.

Devastation across the city of Mandalay in Myanmar, as a result of today’s 7.7 magnitude earthquake, with dozens of buildings having collapsed as well as the Ava Bridge over the Irrawaddy River.

The first photos from the site of the collapsed high-rise building which was under construction in the Thai capital of Bangkok, where at least 43 construction workers are missing and feared dead beneath the rubble.

Thousands are believed to be trapped beneath collapsed homes and other buildings in Myanmar’s second largest city, Mandalay, which was heavily impacted by today’s 7.7 magnitude earthquake as well as its aftershocks.

Recovery efforts continue at the Pabradė Training Ground in eastern Lithuania, for a U.S. Army M88A2 “Hercules” Armored-Recovery Vehicle (ARV) and the bodies of 4 American Soldiers with the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT), 3rd Infantry Division, who sunk over 16ft into the thick mud of a swamp during a training exercise on Tuesday. Heavy equipment is continuing to arrive at the site, including Lithuania’s heaviest dredger and several industrial water pumps, which plan to pump enough water onto the site to eventually allow the dredger to extract the mud-water mixture and reach the M88A2.
