All four of the American Soldiers killed as a result of last week’s incident involving a M88A2 “Hercules” Armored-Recovery Vehicle (ARV) during a training exercise in eastern Lithuania, have now been identified by the U.S. Army:

- Staff Sergeant Troy S. Knutson-Collins, 28 from Battle Creek, Michigan.
- Staff Sergeant Jose Duenez Jr., 25 from Joliet, Illinois.
- Staff Sergeant Edvin F. Franco, 25 from Glendale, California.
- Private First Class Dante D. Taitano, 21 from Dededo, Guam.

The 4 Soldiers were attached to the 1st Armored Brigade Combat Team (1ABCT), 3rd Infantry Division, based at Fort Stewart near Savannah, Georgia. Knutson-Collins, Duenez, and Franco were posthumously promoted to Staff Sergeant.

The U.S. Stock Market today suffered its biggest loss since June 2020, with the Dow plunging almost 1,700 points, while the Nasdaq and S&P 500 both plummeted 6% and 5% respectively; with loses believed to amount to over $2 Trillion. Today’s stock losses come as a reaction to yesterday’s announcement by U.S. President Donald J. Trump of a new wave of aggressive tariffs on countries across the world, which includes a 10% base tariff on all foreign goods entering America as well as much larger tariffs on countries which President Trump claims are “unfriendly trade partners” such as China who will now faces a 54% tariff on all exports to the United States.

Six members of U.S. President Trump’s White House National Security Council (NSC) were fired earlier today, including Brian Walsh, the senior director for intelligence; Maggie Dougherty, the senior director for international organizations; and Thomas Boodry, the senior director for legislative affairs, following a meeting yesterday in the Oval Office between President Trump and far-right conspiracy theorist and well-known liar Laura Loomer, who laid out a list of people she believed were disloyal to the President and didn’t share his “America First” Vision. National Security Advisor Mike Walz later joined in the meeting and briefly defended some of his staff, though it was clear he had little if any power to protect their jobs from the ear of Trump and ramblings of Loomer. However, the main target of Loomer’s visit and someone who she as well as other far-right personalities have continuously lambasted on social media for weeks, Deputy National Security Advisor Alex Wong was not removed, at least as of yet.

Following the recent directive by U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, for the Pentagon to move towards reducing the annual defense budget by roughly 8% before 2026, Army planners are considering a reduction in up to 90,000 active-duty troops, reducing the current force from around 450,000 soldiers to between 360,000 and 420,000. With this reduction part of a broader shift in military strategy away from Europe and the Middle East, towards the Indo-Pacific.

Reports of a precision-airstrike earlier by the Israeli Air Force, on an apartment building inside the city of Sidon in southern Lebanon, possibly targeting senior Hezbollah and/or Hamas officials.

South Korea’s Constitutional Court has declared that President Yoon Suk Yeol’s declaration of martial law last December did not meet the legal requirements for a national crisis, and that he violated the law by sending troops into the National Assembly in an attempt to stop the vote reversing his martial law declaration.

South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol has been officially impeached and removed from office, following last December’s illegal declaration of martial law and today’s 8-0 vote upholding the impeachment by the Constitutional Court of Korea.

After South Korea’s Constitutional Court upheld the legislature’s impeachment of former President Yoon Suk Yeol, South Korea must now hold snap presidential elections within 60 days of the ruling.

General Timothy D. Haugh, the Commander of U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and Chief of the Central Security Service (CSS) has been removed tonight from all of his military and civilian positions effective immediately, alongside his Deputy Director at the NSA Wendy Noble, who has been reassigned to the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense for Intelligence. The reason for both of their removals is currently unknown, with General Haugh hosting Trump Advisor Elon Musk last month at the NSA’s Headquarters in Fort Meade, Maryland.

The New York Times is now reporting that General Timothy D. Haugh, the Commander of U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), Director of the National Security Agency (NSA), and Chief of the Central Security Service (CSS), who was removed earlier tonight from all of his civilian and military leadership roles, was one of the many officials who far-right conspiracy theorist Laura Loomer called for President Trump to fire, during a meeting with him yesterday in the Oval Office. According to officials, General Haugh was traveling on work when reports came out earlier today about his removal, with neither him nor his Deputy at the NSA Wendy Noble being told the reason for their removal by President Trump.

Media channels in Yemen are now reporting that Houthi Brigadier General Mohammed Shawqi Jiash as well as his two brothers, Ayman Shawqi Jiash and Hani Shawqi Jiash, were eliminated by a U.S. airstrike yesterday in the Al Hudaydah Governorate of western Yemen.

According to @JenGriffinFNC with Fox News, U.S. defense officials have confirmed that 3 MQ-9 “Reaper” surveillance and attack drones with the U.S. Air Force have been downed over the last month by the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist group in Yemen, with the most recent shoot downs occurring both Monday and Thursday. An official further added that the U.S. has lost at least 17 MQ-9s over Yemen since the ongoing war between Hamas and Israel began in October 2023, which is close to the number of drone interceptions claims by the Houthis.
