The headquarters is located in the city of Pocheon, 50 km northeast of Seoul.
Reported directly to the Ministry of Defense of the country. It is composed of specialists from the army, navy, aviation and marine corps.
Major General Lee Bo-hyun (pictured right) is appointed as the first commander.

CHINA – An exercise was conducted on the territory of the Baitabu airfield in the city of Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, the deployment site of the 95th Fighter Aviation Brigade of the PLA Eastern Command Air Force, at the end of August. The goal was to check the readiness of the involved forces and means to promptly restore the object damaged as a result of an enemy air raid. According to the scenario, the runway (RWY) was destroyed as a result of the use of air bombs by the enemy. For the restoration work, emergency services with special equipment and sappers were involved, who within three hours were able to carry out work to neutralize unexploded ordnance and repair the destroyed sections of the runway, which allowed the airfield to continue to receive military aircraft.
