Ahoy, Captains 🐳

Tower Defish's open beta draws closer than ever. It's time we introduced you to all 10 basic Towers that are available in the game.

Basic Towers are a core element of the game. You will have to pick the right towers in order to defend the river efficiently, but don't play favorites, as every next tower of the same type will cost more, motivating you to use a more diverse approach.

Here are the short denoscriptions of every tower available:

Inferno:
Expels a laser beam, dealing damage that increases over time to a single target.

Harpoon:
Shoots heavy bolts with high speed, dealing major damage to a single target.

Entangler:
Launches massive fishing nets to a wide area and detects Stealthy units.

Tesla:
Hurls overcharged lightning bolts that leap through enemy targets, dealing bonus damage to Armor.

Echo:
Unleashes repetitive sonic waves in a radius, dealing massive damage over time.

Turbine:
Spins a water mill that deals high damage in a small area around it and reveals Stealthy units.

Cannon:
Throws explosive shells, dealing massive damage to all targets in a small area.

Dreadclaw:
Hits targets with a massive claw, piercing Armor and dealing exceptional damage to a single target. Detects Stealthy units.

Sniper:
Shoots high-caliber bullets, dealing additional damage based on a distance to target, but taking time to reload.

Charger:
Powers up and fires an energy bolt that deals enormous damage and disintegrates a target with a critical hit.

Most of these towers are available for free, but some of them will require an in-game purchase.

As we discussed earlier, every tower has its strength and weakness and have many ways of upgrade to increase its efficiency. This creates countless ways to build up your defense and choose your own style of gameplay.

For those who craves some fish hunting, we will return soon with the news about an upcoming open beta. It will be available much sooner than you can expect 👀

Let's continue our in-depth look on the development of Tower Defish. As the game is currently on a final stage of development, it's important to overlook the recent progress we made.

We already talked about the graphic design of the game and now we have taken it on a new level. The pictures of basic Towers you saw in the last devblog may give you an idea of the overall graphics quality.

You can see how our approach to the graphics evolved from early stages of development to current version on the screenshots we attached.

For now, our main focus is making an informative in-game tutorial to bring the newcomers up to speed right from the start.

Your chance to see the brand new game for yourselves is coming close.

We are happy to announce that the Tower Defish Open Beta will start in June, closer to the end of the month.

Open Beta access will first be available for Android users and will come to iOS a few weeks later.

We will inform you about a specific release date as soon as we finish our preparations.

Take your time to celebrate this big day, Captains, but make sure you're ready for the dangers of the land.

We have a few very important news regarding Tower Defish for you!

#TDdevblog 16

First, we have decided to make a full release in early-mid July, instead of making an Open Beta test. This way, we can use the time we had before the Open Beta to focus on bringing the final release of a polished and revised game much closer.

We are planning on submitting the game to Google Play (and, eventually, Apple's App Store) in early July and depending on the moderation, you can expect the game to release in mid July.

However, we had to make a few adjustments in order to bring the release date closer to you.

First thing, to release the game without any complications with Google Play and App Store (especially with App Store) we had to postpone the Tower Defish integration into the WoD ecosystem and it won't be available on release.

But don't you worry, we are still working on connecting our two games and we will eventually add this feature with future updates.

The same goes for our in-game Bestiary. This feature is going to take some time to properly develop, so it will come later with other gameplay updates.

Apart from that, the game is ready to release, and after a few finishing strokes we will upload it to Play Market and App Store and will keep you posted about the exact release date.

This is a big thing, Captains, and we want to thank you for your support and interest in our games. We are very proud of our new game and can't wait to see you play Tower Defish on your mobile devices.

Ahoy, Captains 🐳

We are very glad the new Collection was warmly met and liked by the community, but now it's time to move on.

In order to support the WoD economy, we have decided to withdraw the remaining Boxes off sale this Friday at 18:00 UTC and make the new Collection's first craft recipes update on Monday, 19 June, at 08:00 UTC.

The remaining Defish Boxes will be used as a reward for the next event.

We want to thank you for your support and we hope you enjoyed the new Collection just as we did. More news are coming soon.

The release of Tower Defish draws closer every second and we are here to keep you posted as we make our finishing touches.

At the moment, we are on our final step before submitting the game for moderation, almost done fixing the remaining bugs and polishing the game's interface and tutorials.

iOS players will have to wait a little bit longer, just as we said, but we are working hard on reducing the gap between Android and iOS releases.

All of the final preparations will take about 1-2 weeks and after that the release date will depend on Google and the Play Market moderation, but we can announce the estimated release date.

Android users should expect the game to be available for them in mid July, while iOS players will have to wait a few weeks longer.

We will post a much more detailed announcement in the close future, as we finish our preparations.

We can't wait for you to see the game for yourselves and we have a feeling that you'll love it from the first sight, just as we did. Stay sharp, Captains, as more news will arrive in a very close future!

Ahoy, Captains 🐳

We have a small, but yet very important update coming to World of Defish.

As you well know, while you could withdraw your $WOD from Off- to On-Chain, it was impossible to deposit it back.

With the development of Off-Chain game mechanics we have decided to add an option to deposit your On-Chain $WOD to your Off-Chain balance.

We tried to make the action as intuitive as it can be, so now, when you visit your Harbor, you can switch between withdrawing and depositing your $WOD.

This change brings us even closer to eliminating gas fees and making your gameplay uninterrupted by constant spendings.

The update is already available on Mainnet, so you can try it out right away, but don't forget to keep an eye out, Captains, as more news are coming your way!

After a year of Tower Defish's development this day has finally come. Tower Defish's release version is submitted to Google Play Market for moderation.

Now, the date of release mostly depends on the moderation, as we are waiting for the approval from Google, but we can predict that it will happen within a week or two.

At the same time, the team is working on the iOS version of the game and doing everything in their power to let iOS users enjoy our game in the closest future.

This is a very important day for us, Captains, and we are so very grateful to you for your feedback and unending support.

We will announce the official release date as soon as we pass the moderation, and until then, stay sharp and get ready to start your new journey.

This day marks the beginning of a new journey for both the experienced Captains and those who have yet to feel the fishing greed.

Tower Defish is officially released in Google Play Market and can be downloaded HERE.

We are continuing to work on bringing Tower Defish to iOS as quickly as possible to let our iOS community to enjoy the game in the closest future.

Our work is just beginning and we are already working on syncing Google Play and iOS player profiles and connecting the game to WoD economy.

And, just like every fresh-released game, Tower Defish will also have weekly game patches with bug and balance fixes.

Once again, we want to express our deepest appreciation to the Captains community on behalf of Defish team. It couldn't have happened if not for your support and feedback.

Following up with the release of Tower Defish, we continue to make the game better and more stable for every player, with the first official update on its way.

The first game patch is on its way to bring more fixes and improvements to world map and camera, tutorial UI and compatibility with different screen sizes.

The game has become available in 5 new counties: 🇺🇸 USA, 🇮🇳 India, 🇮🇱 Israel, 🇵🇭 Philippines and 🇻🇳 Vietnam. We are pleased to welcome players from these countries and for others — if the game is still not available in your region, we are working on it.

Our iOS community will be pleased to know that the iOS version of the game is ready and we will send it for the App Store moderation in the closest future.

This is just the beginning, and we have a lot in store for the future of the game, including a full-scale marketing campaign, so stay sharp, Captains, and follow the news!

As we promised, we did not forget about World of Defish and are currently working on adding new features to make your fishing much more exciting.

Introducing the Destroy interaction. It works extremely similar to crafting, but in reverse, giving you materials in exchange for your equipment.

This feature will prove handy to get rid of some unused equipment collecting dust in your inventory and will allow you to use the gained materials to craft something much more useful.

We don't announce a precise release date at the moment, but you can expect to destroy lonely equipment in mid August.

We've got a lot more news in store for you, Captains, so stay sharp and don't miss a thing.

Even more details about the upcoming Destroy interaction coming right up!

For the past year many Captains have stored their equipment on their shelves and had no use for them, but to collect dust or be sold on the Marketplace. With the increased usability of Materials brought by several past updates, we have decided to let you give your old equipment a new life.

As we already said, Destroy interaction will work exactly like Crafting, but in reverse. Apart from destroying one item, you will have the option to destroy groups of the same items in one click. It's also worth noting that the Destroy interaction will be available only on Off-Chain.

When you destroy your equipment, you will get materials based on the rarity of destroyed item. If you destroy an 💎Epic rod, you will have a chance to get materials of 💎Epic or lower rarity. You can get up to 14 materials for one equipment item destroyed, depending on its rarity.

You can check the drop chances and the amount of materials dropped from destroying items of each rarity in a sheet that we'll post in the comments.

The update is coming in mid August and we will post a precise release date in a closest future. For now, keep your eyes sharp and stay on your guard, Captains, as the seas are preparing for a new storm.

Another patch coming up to Tower Defish with new fixes and adjustments! And you already can try it!

The new patch for Tower Defish brings more improvements for gameplay and UI, featuring updated visuals for tower selection and upgrade windows and smoother gameplay animations.

Our hardcore Survival mode players can also be relieved, the bug which prevented enemies with 0 HP from being eliminated is fixed and no fish is now immortal.

Apart from that, the update brings more minor fixes and improvements:
- Enhanced button click areas and added more languages.
- Fixed loss screen freeze bug.
- Completed tutorials now show "Tutorial completed" label.
- Removed wave counter from initial level.
- Improved loading and timer screen experience.
- Resolved in-game currency issues.
- Protection Station now shows range.
- Refined Survive window design.

Enjoy the updates, Captains, and keep your guard up, you never know where the fish will strike next!
