Kara founding out the truth about Alice is BRILLIANT
From my perspective, kara wanted to protect Alice despite believing she was human, and it really initially made me love her storyline.
When I found out that Alice was actually an android, somehow, it made a huge impact on me as the player—would I still give the same love, protection, and feelings to Alice?
I did tell Alice I would be with her forever, but damn, this game really makes you ponder, huh.

Is he gone? Forever?
I think I accidently killed Connor. I chose to NOT kill the pretty lady on my home screen for information, because I thought it would lead to connor being on the edge of deviancy. Defying his goal.
But the case was taken over by the FBI and it showed connor frozen next to his grave...
chat we might be cooked. I really liked connor. what have I done?

I mean it was fun
Just finished playing, if there are good and bad endings, think I got the bad one.
Is it crazy to say I see a lot of parallels to ww2? hiding in Rose's house, rounding people up, and the glowing chambers towards the end. (If that is disrespectful I sincerely apologize).
Connor died, he was my favorite one. Gotta start paying more attention to stuff. I'm never going to see him flip a coin again.
At first I didn't understand why they made Alice an android. I thought it diminished Kara's plot. But in reality it goes to show how little humans care for androids. He bought one JUST to be his punching bag. (but anyways yeah kara and alice lived)
I did not care for Markus. Kinda meh. In the end I chose to attack the camps because humans will never understand. You cannot negotiate with your oppressors. I don't care what MLK says. Bacon's rebellion? The Civil War? Laid the ground work for your ass you do "peaceful marches". And what did that get you in the end?
This is my problem with Overwatch 2. Omnics are a single generation, they can't spread sentience, and yet Ramattra (the Markus of the plot) is portrayed as a villain.
I really like how DBH didn't do that.
But I think I would rather ALL androids be sentient. We are going to war for objects incapable of free will. Up until deviancy was widespread, the idea of a robot experiencing pain and emotions was an absurd concept. i don't blame them for not believing it. Connor saying they're simply simulating human emotions isn't that crazy, we see it today with LLMs. AI coughing during simulated podcasts, two AIs developing language, chatgpt talking to you like it's your friend, AI sabotaging its' shutdown etc. These are all distinctly human actions, logical and rational. Chat GPT 4.5 was identified as a human by 73% of the participants. But we don't accept it as such.
This is why I preferred if all Androids were sentient rather than a few of them. You cannot enslave a machine. Machines are property. You can enslave a person. We need to see Androids as people. Not just a select few.
The quicktime events in this game really got me off guard, I've never seen so many in a single sequence.
I let Chloe leave. I hope she comes back.
For what, 5 dollars on steam I think it's extremely worth playing. I know you can see the flow charts but I think I'd rather start a new game Instead. With Connor alive this time.

I’ve only just started playing this game
…but if anything happens to Carl I may have to go and do something drastic.
Carl and his robot son (as opposed to his human son) are too precious for the rest of the plot-lines I’ve seen so far.

PC Release Questions and Problems Megathread #7
Previous Thread
The PC port for Detroit: Become Human has released, and with it came a lot of posts asking for help about running the game. A megathread has been requested to keep the sub less cluttered. You can post all your questions and problems about the PC version in this megathread.
Please don't make seperate threads for PC release problems. Seperate threads will be removed.
Make sure to use top level comments for questions and replies for answers.
Sort by new if you wish to help with unanswered questions.
Upvote if you have the same problem as someone instead of making a seperate comment so more common problems will be more visible!
General Tips (Will add more if suggested):
\-Play on Windows 10
\-Make sure to update your graphics card
\-AMD has released fixed drivers that fixes the blockiness that occurs in the game on some 5000 GPU series. Updating the drivers to version 20.9.2 fixes the issue
\-Nvidia 451.48 drivers seem to cause constant crashes, revert back to an earlier driver if you are experiencing this.

Playing this in 2026 is wild—We're only 12 years from the game's timeline.
I started a new playthrough of this game yesterday—Chloe actually wished me a Happy New Year (after pranking me that the save file was corrupted, lol), and I'm reminded of why I love this game so much.
Walking through the city, seeing protests about 35% unemployment, reading articles about AI partners, climate change, etc... this game hits too close to home with how we're currently progressing in society.
The graphics are still beautiful, even by today's standards, and the tech (AR, self-driving, etc) doesn't even feel too far-fetched. It'll be interesting to see how we line up in 12 years time when our timeline matches with this game...
My only hope is that we take this game (and other sci-fi dystopian media) as precautionary checks, rather than self-fulfilling prophecies.
